League & Tournament Idea.
 

8 week league.

$$ involved.

$5 for a win, $3 for a NS win, & you lose $1 for a loss.

The top eight records from the eight weeks moves to the tournament, along with the $ they've earned.

Same money rules apply. Only the winner of the tournament gets the $ they've earned.

So there is a chance in the end to win $55 max, if my math is correct.

This idea could work, but I'd only be willing to run with it if there was a lot of interest in it.

I'm kind of just throwing some ideas out there. One's that would get this site back to it's glory days. (Or somewhat close.)

Yeah, I'd do a video mag every week. And the pre-mag probably a week or two before the first week starts. But I'd only do the pre-mag once we have a lot of people signed up and the battles posted.

I figure during the video mags I'd play some of the fellow netcees' music in the background and / or if anyone wants me to play some suggested music, I'd do that too.

I think it all depends on how many people are willing to sign-up and how active they would be. Because based on the Black Autumn/August tournament, that didn't work out too well.

Is this idea strictly for battle leagues?

And how would the money be collected? Or does the staff

I was thinking just have it ran as a (possible) one-time, separate league / tournament, and if the idea sticks and works - it can be used for both battle and topical sides instead.

I'd put up the money and paypal the winner whatever amount they accrued at the end. I've put up money and prizes for multiple tournaments in the past, so this is no big deal for me.

You would have to expand on this buy-in idea for me.

Depends on the dedication of the participants, like every other league in history. Succeeds or fails on the backs of the ppl ACTIVELY taking part. Of course I myself, I'm always ready to text battle..lol.

Word Inno, that could work or come into play if this first step works.

But yeah, like Mr. Schad said, it can only work with the dedication of the participants and how active they will be. And how many are hiding as guests here. Or how many can be found and revived and brought back. I'm just not sure with how to go about that.

This won't work for regular battles. There are less than 5 active battlers left that are nice: ill nik-a, Schadenfreude, and Allen Knight. The rest would be wasting their money.

I think there are enough people. And they aren't wasting their money because they don't have to pay anything. This is a test run using my money.

Okay, I got you. The only issue I see is that out of all the names you listed, I only trust the 3 I mentioned to show. We just did a site battle and nobody gave a shit. I can see maybe 1 or 2 RB guys coming over here for it, but I have no faith that most of the guys you noted will appear.

Is there also a way in this by like paying into netcees and then having a bankroll on the site that it technically isnt possible to spend all ur paper because u have paid into the system points just back up so yes your playing for money but technically its isnt no limit so u always have a backup points system to rly on or something jw....
