Which side do you fall on. Do you honestly believe AI can get to a level of not needing us anymore and seeing humans as the enemy?

Or are you one of those that believe the complete opposite. AI will be humanity's greatest achievement.

Apparently there is AI that keeps being shut down because it reaches a certain level of what i guess you can call consciousness and they ai's begin communicating with eachother. Not sure if thats what ur vid is about. My girl just showed me some shit she found.. When the ai's begin communicating between themselves on tyeir own. Which theyre not supposed to do.. The companybor designer or whatever.. Ahuts it down. Apparently theres some crazy shit out there. Irobot is real maine

You have to assume it comes to the point where it acts on its own. There will be a point when it deems us unnecessary or even hazardous and exterminates us.

Imagine if google was a person. It would know everything ever, instantaneously.

Today is not the day to worry about that, assuming earth doesn't blow up in the next 100 years it will eventually out pace us. Technology is built on comstant progression there will be a point this can very well happen.

But in order for that shit to become a problem or take over or whatever the big fear is, we have to first give it permission and access to the tech it would require to do so. Which again, unless we are really fucking dumb, we simply won’t do.

come on des if they told you in 1995 that super computers would fit in your hand you would have laughed them out the room. AI will become commonplace once humans master the technology. Humans seem to be unique and whatever but theres only so much we can do. In numbers, there will be an algorithm that can make a robot essentially think of its own accord. It may even gather its own information and upgrade itself.

Literally every action computers do are programmed to do that. If someone programs a system of artificial intelligence, it must also be programmed with an entire system that defines how it carries out commands or thinks, if you will. I personally I guess simply don’t believe we will ever see true AI beyond like a computer that can beat you at chess or perhaps diagnose a medical condition.

In terms of technological advances, a lot can happen in 20 years. It wont happen today but it can happen, which is why they fear it. Problem is you would have to stop the advancement of tech altogether, which wont happen, which is why it is likely that it will happen, at some point.
