ugh

Not that bad. Rose on the last year of his contract. Lopez is an average starting center and jerian grant couldn't get minutes last year. This gives a lot of versatility to chicago tho in free agency

+ they could have gotten all picks instead of this corpse

Rose still has something in the tank. Only ups their status to a playoff birth.

True, but do you really want the 14th pick? You traded an above average C for an above average Pg. With the league going into small ball you don't want a 1 dimensional C. He's an OK post defender and ok rebounder + weak offensively. Rose afflalo melo kristaps blank. Solid could even put kris at the center. Major issue will be that rose sucks off ball since he doesn't have a reliable jumper and melo is ball dominant and iso heavy

El Muffin 06-22-2016 08:46 PM

Lol bears n bulls doing similar shit I see

The Knicks are better today then they were yesterday. That's fact. Ya Rose is a shell of his former self but he is infinitely better than any guard we had on the roster.

They gave up Lopez who was a solid player with a decent contract but Grant will never be a legitimate starting PG in the NBA and we got rid of Calderon. Just listen to that last part. Calderon. Gone.

We also cleared cap space for the free agent bonanza next off season. AND this move makes the Knicks more attractive to potential free agents. Rose, Melo , Porzingis gonna ball

Realistically I don't know what kind of draft picks you think the Knicks could have gotten for Lopez. Late first round pick in a draft that isn't very deep. Those players rarely make a difference. Better to free up cap space.

I do agree that we need to stay away from Howard. And Noah. And Gasol.

What do you mean? Cavs went small too. They had lebron at PF most of the time with TT at C. Why do you think Kevin love was useless most of the series?

I hear you. Phils done a terrible job so far. We could have had a lottery pick in this years draft but he traded it away for Bargnani. That still blows my mind. And is unforgivable.

Wouldn't of had the pick anyways, when they traded for melo Denver got the option to swap picks in 16. (Denver has 9th pick) wouldn't of been that much of a drop off but even if they would've had the 1st pick it wouldn't of been their either way.
