The Guiding Light
 

Her fingers stretch out beckoning my soul
I can only watch as the reckoning unfolds
Im skeptical in growth, humanity is at fault
they will crumble underneath vanity & all
another blank page as Im scraping each thought
Look at you her voice echoes as Im scrambling off
rambling on about the poisons that infect our souls
she giggles as all do whenever the jester jokes...
O cruel fate I think, You continue to pester me
No person alive can match the drive youve given me
I write with your tears while you give me sympathy
with each pen stroke I conduct your cruel symphony
her smirk tells me i deserve all that she did to me...
has done to me, Im just another one of her underlings
I can only gaze in awe while she continues running free
how can I continue on without her loving me...
the darkness swallows me while I look at the light
what a dream...but my spirit couldnt, wouldnt comply
whats ahead is always better than always looking behind...
