So we talking about Batman V Superman?

Saw it last night. Will hold back my expert opinion.

Destroyer 03-25-2016 01:38 PM

heard it was poop
planned on seeing it then decided against
am I wrong?

dull boy 03-25-2016 01:58 PM

It had it's flaws, but the people not liking it I would contribute to the expectations that Marvel and prior incarnations of these characters set. It's not the quippy-happy-go-lucky vibe of the Iron Man movies. Batman is a tortured detective/vigilante with decades of fucked up experiences.

If you liked Watchmen and enjoy the more adult side of comics then you'll probably enjoy it.

Planning to see asap

Will return once seen since spoilers are definitely enroute. NC the worst w spoilers.

SHECK WES 03-25-2016 03:06 PM

Suicide squad in this movie too?

Greed 03-26-2016 12:21 AM

This was sick. Civil war and suicide squad next.

ill nik-A 03-26-2016 07:00 AM

Going to watch it at 11am like old folks

Orc 03-26-2016 07:21 AM

i thought it was dope. afleck is one of the best adaptations of Batman on screen

dull boy 03-26-2016 07:52 AM

No spoilers.

This movie has become so polarizing. A majority of critics seem to be exhausting their thesauruses for the most descriptive ways to shit on it. 80% of fan reviews seem positive; forgiving the movie of it's over ambitious flaws and simply enjoying it's positives, which are so good that they more than make up for the fact that it seems like 4 movies rolled into one. Avengers had much of the same issues when it tried launching several storylines in its 2+ hour time slot. Batman v Superman isn't a movie that can be taken as a standalone. It's more like one issue in a series of comics.

I'm here guys! 10:05am 3-D showing... I'll report later... Wish me luck

Orc 03-26-2016 09:54 AM

Enjoy

Destroyer 03-26-2016 11:25 AM

well if it's just too dark for some people that's one thing, but I heard that the storyline was all but nonexistent and lex was bad, and supes was whiny

Saitama 03-26-2016 12:54 PM

I'm confused imdb was giving it good review after review..

It hit theaters and critics tore it apart.

Doomsday was a poorly used villain and I can see that, tho.

ill nik-A 03-26-2016 03:00 PM

I really enjoyed it...

The fight between supes and batman was good, and a few scenes after that.

It went downhill from that point. I wont spoil it but they re did doomsdays origin not like the comics. That CGI was subpar imo.

I thought Affleck did a good Batman, his Bruce Wayne was alright imo. Not as good as Bale or maybe Keaton but better than Kilmer and Clooney lol. Lex Luthor wasnt cast right, Jesse Eiseneberg was too quirky and psychotic.

If you're a comic book nerd you'll find all the holes or you'll turn your brain off and probably enjoy what the film does well ( Barman scenes and the Supes fight)

Fart 03-26-2016 05:37 PM

It's lex's son. Not Lex.
anyways
Great action. Affleck is maybe the best batman and the best bruce wayne
too much content crammed in one movie = trying to force a set up for another certain film

6/10

Im'a go see it Wednesday, I'm reading a lot of reviews online that are bad, but every body that I know that has seen it, said it was really good.

I feel like all bad reviews are from people that can't just enjoy a movie.

*shrugs

the best batman versus superman fight is in frank miller's dark knight returns (the comic) - it had an animated version a few years back which was, actually, pretty fucking excellent. red son had a decent one, too.

this movie looks to have taken elements from it, but after seeing the trailer, i have little to no expectations of it being good. will probably watch, though, at some point.

Agreed...I haven't seen this movie yet but hope they do take things from this.

I think I'll enjoy it, I hope so.
