if it's bitten, he bit someone who is at the beginning, awkward stage of elevation. it's really not as awful as everyone else is making it out to be, though. just full of mistakes that most people make en route to improving (clunky phrasing, meaningless rhymes to keep a scheme going, trite and cliched ideas, etc).
