so with fallout 4 coming in a couple months

i am looking to upgrade my video card.

i cheaped out on the card when i "built" this pc, but all my other COMPONENTS or whatever you call them are still solid. ram/processer and shit.

i think its still early and their ain't like specs out and shit, there might be i didnt really look, but whats like a relatively good graphics card or whatever for like 100-200 bucks. 200 TOPS.

i'm gonna be moving around the time the game drops, saving money and shit, and once i'm moved in i dont know what my excess cash is gonna be looking like, work can slow down for me in the winter

so i'm trying to buy something asap

any thoughts?

keep in mind i don't need it to be like AMAZING PERFECT, my card i got now will probably run it on lowish settings but i figure i might as well upgrade while i can

$200 gpu won't be much better than that 750. a gtx 960 might be 200 now. or the new AMD card

lol @ 32 gigs of ram

uh-oh 09-14-2015 12:37 PM

I shoulda got 64 tbh. It still takes too long for my liking to process some plugins and shit with my mpc and fl studio. Like if im loading kontakt for example it takes like 40 seconds to load the sound libraries and shit and thats all ram related. Nothing breaks up your workflow like silence and a loading symbol

But their has to be better cards this one was like 50 bucks or some shit i thought

I'll look into it more when i get home i guess. Gonna probably pull a 12 hour shift THO

uh-oh 09-14-2015 12:42 PM

Also if im chopping in the mpc and i hit threshold, it basically studies the sample for places to chop and chops for you, and that takes a good 20 seconds or so. But you never really go with the first setting. And every time you tweak it like the defaults 50 so you wait on that. But that could be too touchy so you gotta turn it to 30 or the other way maybe to 100 and each change reprocesses everything

Thats why you guys soun d dumb when you mention ram lol. I dont use my pc just to browse the net and play games. Its my workhorse yooo

Dam i just realizec i gotta ipgrade to

I was thinking about copping it for ps4 buy i dont know about that

I just googled what specs were recommended, didn't really look into it too much, but this was one of the first pages I saw.

http://www.game-debate.com/games/ind...me=Fallout%204

I don't think they have released offficial requirements yet.

I have this installed on my PC right now:

AMD Radeon R7 250X Core Edition
2GB DDR3
PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card

Ever think about updating your screen? I see you're at 1920 x 1080.

I bought this:
LG - 29" IPS LED HD 21:9 UltraWide Monitor

I don't play games on my PC so I really don't know how well I could run games, but yeah.. If the official recommendation came out for that game, that would limit your search on a card so much more.

Do you play your games on your PC screen, or do you have it going to a TV or something?? I would recommend that screen. My regular monitor at 1920 x 1080 looks like shit compared to this one. I have both connected and yeah, huuugggeee difference.

So true. But witg a game like fallout PC is so much better.

Fallout 4 will be immense. Probably bigger than skyrim

uh-oh 09-14-2015 06:56 PM

yea i like consoles but i just gave up on them. the only reason i sort of want one is cuz they don't make madden for pc.

and word razah, i actually did just update my screen lmao, i did have like some 1440xsomething resolution, and the only real reason i upgraded it was because my monitor died, so i just copped this 24 inch and the simple 1920x1080 was like whatttttttt where have i BEEN?

but yea i got a 52 inch tv and shit but some games don't work on it. like rome total war/atilla total war cuts off the sides and top of the screen no matter what resolution i put it at, and shit like the witcher on it shows a window around it, its a fullscreen window but still.

i just game on my monitor

but word i'll probably just try and keep 200 back until specs come out. it looks ridiculous THO. but maybe it will be like skyrim. a beautiful game that doesn't really need the biggest card to play smooth with alot of the bells and whistles graphics wise turned on

uh-oh 09-14-2015 07:00 PM

but yea hush the only real advantage with a PC is for games like fallout

they get modded and just basically upgraded. like skyrim right now for pc is ridiculous if you put all the mods people made on it, like all the extra shit they add to cities, upgraded graphics and resolutions of shit, extra sound effects and ambience, extra weapons, even extra quests/missions and followers and shit even voiced

fallout will be like that too. the game will be dope as is, but modders will tweak it and make it even better

Fallout 4 with be able to run with pc mods on Xbox one bros..............

uh-oh 09-14-2015 10:10 PM

thats dope

do they got a "workshop" like steam, meaning like they can download and patch shit? i wouldnt know how it works with an xbox 1

i still got a 360 thats collected dust since 08 lol

~RustyGunZ~ 09-14-2015 11:09 PM

Not sure

I never used steam mods

Shit is weak you gotta get on nexus

EtH 09-14-2015 11:22 PM

See if any of those modding communities can mod it so it works on my PS3 haha.

I played Fallout 3 a few years ago. Thought it was fairly good. Got New Vegas and played it last year and thought it was fairly terrible. Appreciated a lot of the ideas of Skyrim but I can't get over having to go inside buildings the same way I did in San Andreas.

Fallout 4 looks like it's going to solve every single problem I had with New Vegas. Everything about it looks amazing. Graphics looked really good, open world (properly), talking main character. Looks cracking.

uh-oh 09-14-2015 11:23 PM

Ive used nexus as well for skyrim and fallout

I used steam as an example because it seemed more legit/how i would see it working with xbox
