NASA have denied it tho, pointing out that if something big enough to destroy the world was coming towards us, we would know about it by now.

The chances of a sizable asteroid hitting us within the next hundred are 0.01% according to NASA.

I'd be much more worried about a gamma ray burst from a nearby star cluster, & its effect on the ozone layer.
