Did it not have any of the cloud back up systems on it. Worth a shot. Mine did it without me knowing. Also you sure it saved to device and not memory stick or sim.

Oh and I dunno if it's juts for newer models but if your with 3g and you pay 11 pounds they do a back up with everything on it for you

its a bit tedious. unless until u know the trick.
