Anybody cared for a baby bird before

we been havin a shit ton of windy rain in Florida lately and I'm assuming that's why I found more than one baby mockingbird in my yard Hoppin around. I found the first one around noon and was able to get him to wildlife rescue.

Later on, I was takin out the trash and I found another baby bird trapped in the bottom of an empty flower pot. It was past 7 at this point and nobody was open so now I have this baby bird in a box w a towel. Swung over to Petsmart and bought a feeding applicator and had them grind up some crickets mixed with water and liquid protein. Cool little bird

Hope he makes it through the night!

Lol goshhhh

My neighbor told me to toss it back in the woods and a snake will take care of it. His soul is black

Well since your an insomniac based on the Witty thread I'm sure the bird will be fine

as for your feathered friend that's another story

You need to put the.bird back in the area you found it, but on the ground. Mother birds still take care of their young when they fall out nests. If you can't stomach the idea of that. Don't take it to an animal hospital, they'll euthanize it. Take it to an exotic animal hospital, they're more likely to properly care for the bird.

Clip its wings, then keep it as a slave. Then feed it seeds.

I like Vulgars idea... but I would prolly do what Chill Phill recommends. Dont take it to a normal shelter. Give it to a snake if thats your only option. Post the video, make some fame.

I didn't. I took it to a wildlife center located in the fuckin boonies. They got shitloads of different animals out there but they're really passionate of what they do. Mockingbirds are cool, this baby was chirping in his sleep.

The wildlife center nurses them back to health and release them back into the wild, they don't euthanize. When they examined the bird I kept overnight, they said I prolly saved him because if he had no place to hide overnight, something would've hunted him, especially bc he was trapped

I remember finding a bird just wandering in the neighborhood. I cared for that little angel as my own till one day, she cheated on me with a basketball player. :/
