Im seeing a trend in text lately
 

The harshness. It seems to be here and not going anywhere anytime soon. The gun lines and physical harm lines as well. What has happened in the world of text that beckons the author to be this way? Reason I ask is someone told me recently that I should be more harsher which I shan't not ...I'm slick, swag, directly indirect and it just isn't me. Sure I'll throw a gun line in every now and then but I don't presume to rid my opponents verse with bullet holes either lol. Be more creative they say...how many ways can I cause you physical harm or shoot you. Let us discuss

Yo Chyeahh... originally I felt the same way as you. But I also observe the reaction that harsh lines get comparatively, and people are generally biased towards the harsher wording. I think this probably has some connection to the roots of text and battling in the dozens, which is basically a diss cypher.

Look at the success of people like ill Nika and Hush who both basically made careers of demoralizing lesser mcs. You dont have to change your style and conform, but it does seem like certain approaches have a better reception, so you might want to take that into account.

Also, I think at this point nobody is taking any of the gun bars or whatever seriously. If you're a regular on an internet text battling site, how bout that life can you be? It's really more about finding creative ways to diss people than threatening them with physical violence.

The gun lines were cool for a couple of weeks. Not any more
