Roaring Twenties

Also referred to as the Golden twenties. Jazz blossomed, culture blossomed, and times were good for most. This Era is marked by the Harlem renaissance, Women's suffrage, prohibition, and mobsters.

"They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made." F. Scott Fitzgerald (The Great Gatsby)

Something came up, I won't be able to write today and I only got a little bit of text that I've started on. Far from enough to be anything though. Is it possible to get an extension?

Of course, take as long as you need.

Appreciate it a lot! Unfortunately I'm still not home and I won't be able to show tonight. :( If you want to you can post a haiku and get the w and I'll finish my piece when I get time and you can put your work against mine in the BA or something. Sorry man, I was honestly looking forward to this battle. :/

She once was a beast,
now her tone is a whisper,
barely audible.

Within her soul, was the key to life
Teaching me how to live
Yet also how to die
How to smile
And also how to cry
I see her in my dreams
Alone in a downtrodden bar
Where she will forever remain
Caught in eternal sorrow.

Because the music stopped.

@Witty

I woke up this morning and felt like watching two episodes of Cowboy Bebop... "Jupiter Jazz" 1 & 2. This poem was simplistic in its approach, a small packet of emotion and closure. Reminded me of an anime theme with the slow Japanese jazz in the background, with a slightly "Western" story attached to it. Cool stuff.

I didnt particularly like that section, it just seemed a little contrived and almost TOO simple if you get what i mean? You're fucking better than that. I know. I helped mould you when you were younger. Fucking show these assholes what you're capable of dammit and quit half-assing everything, you're only tarnishing your own reputation in the process. You're the man Witty. Take these motherfuckers on a poetic skull-fuck until their throats bleed, then insert said poetic penis one final time to ensure theyre dead and you remain the victor. Thats you. The champ in waiting. Blood soaked and battle worn, with a porn tashe. Stop playing with these kiddies and fuck them with the balls of steel you possess.

Just my advice.
