Since yesterday morning, my inter cooler hose keeps blowing off. I already have a clamp on it. replaced it, thinking the other one was faulty. same shit keeps happening. maybe I need to retune the car? right now it's only tuned for 600. got it dino'd this past weekend and was able to push out 589HP. what ya'll think the issue could be? BTW - Got my hatch STi BACK! so I'm pretty stoked about that shit... Not the same one, tho. Found one at my boys dad's car dealer for cheap. 2010 white satin pearl w/ only 60k on it. bone stock.. AND YOU ALREADY KNOW, I'm bout to work it. |

Idk man...how big is your intercooler piping? Is it the same size as the connection to the intercooler? Is your intercooler sufficient for the power you are making? I'll be honest, I don't know much about turbo cars....Immodium Knight may be able to help you better. |

do know about Google "i often see people not thoroughly cleaning the IC piping as they clamp it down. dirt and even blow-by can cause the tclamps to slip. clean the contact area with rubbing alchohol, then spray with hairspray. if the IC piping also is beaded, theres no way that thing is popping off under most circumstances." |

T3 making 589? You sure, b? I don't even think they can make that much power at maximum capacity. That's even pushing it for some T3/4 hybrids. You need a bigger turbo.
Edit: Like I said, I don't know all that much about turbo cars but that seems like a LOT of power for a T3. Just looked up some Precisions, though, and max for the T3 I saw was around 600. You are pushing it. |
yea...
forged internals and cam mods I did. maybe a different turbo. I have to check, only thing I haven't fucked with tbh. I changed/modded out internals, completed exhaust, tranny and head ported and polished. I recently had to replace the inter cooler because the incoming/outgiong air coolin line seal was cracked. the small ones attached to the intercooler. not the 2.5 hose. the 2.5 hose is the one that keep blowin off... this shit pissin me off. bout to tag it sell it and focus on my sti again. |
