the police was created in 1704 in the state of South Carolina

it wasn't called the police then it was called the Slave patrol

Slave Patrol: were organized groups of white men who monitored and enforced discipline upon black slaves in the antebellum U.S. southern states. Slave patrols' function was to police slaves, especially runaways and defiant slaves. They also formed river patrols to prevent escape by boat. Slave patrols were first established in South Carolina in 1704, and the idea spread throughout the colonies.

I have issues with authority...in my younger days I used to be arrested quite regularly, mainly for stupid shit, and I'd make it worse by being a loud mouth little fuck nugget and talking smart to a man with a gun.
