Do Christians REALLY believe the story of Noah?

I mean come on. Apparently he was 500 years old when the flood came, made the ship out of the worst possible wood ever. And there are over 350,000 species of beetles alone. So you mean to tell me this mf fit TWO of EACH animal known on this planet into a ship. How did they all get there? Wouldn't it weight a ton? We're talking elephants and shit here. Where the food at? Wouldn't that cause more weight? There's more holes in this story than some worn out socks. Shits not adding up. And it pisses me off that people really stand tall next to this fairy tale.

Don't get me wrong. You can believe what you want but at least admit that it could be possible your whole religion is wrong. That your religion couldn't possibly be the ONLY explanation of how we got here.

Like there aren't crazier stories in Christianity

niggas livin inside whales for one

Using them like an aquatic taxi service

That would have been a better inquiry? Iono

n lol @ that one tale..discrediting the entire bible

80 percent of the time..those tales are metaphors for something. On some aesop fable shit..there's always ends to the means..moral of the story. I'm not devout so I'm out but I'm just playing devils advocate

Pz

God can do the impossible, with ease. The point of the story is to encourage faith in the face of overwhelming adversity.

I remember when i was 16.

Geno 04-24-2015 02:16 PM

apparently, noahs ark is somewhere in turkey.. or somwhere in that region. in a highly wooded area. its stuck somwhere -very secluded. and also very highly guarded so that no one can get to it. this is what i heard years ago. someone important found it -or somene anyone found it. but once that happened it was quarantined off. and because its noahs ark the world isnt supposed to know about it because it would basically destroy everyones beliefs who are not behind the bible. meh.

dont know how true it was, cant remember where and how i found that shit out. but i did -supposeddly true shit.

EDIT!!!

Oral histories & folklore are very likely transcriptions of real life events, distorted by peoples' tendencies to embellish as well as their need to explain things that they simply can't

then play a game of inter generational telephone tag and boom
Origin stories

Witty 04-24-2015 03:07 PM

There was a flood, some guy made a boat, as with many people in those days he had animals through which he made his livelihood, he put these animals on the boat to protect them.

That's just logical, and then through years and years of oral recounting it has turned in to the story we know today.
