I liked the first season. Cillian Murphy's good for that role. Tom Hardy was great, as expected, in his limited role.

I thought the 2nd season was noticeably worse, though. Too much for me.

Pancake have you ever heard of Love/Hate? It's an Irish gangland show about modern Dublin and the Drug/Gun trade. It's got the dude who plays Littlefinger in GOT in it. Robert Sheehan too if you know who that is. The acting from the supporting cast isn't as good but it's not got a huge budget being an Irish show. You should check it out.
