there's a lot of things that gotta go
but life's got me tied up in it's knotted rope
i opted not to vote
'cause i barely have time to jot a note
let alone stand outside in the line at the poll
besides, it's gotten cold
leaves are colored rotten gold
flowers are no longer open and the stems are starting to fold
not much outside, i like it in this apartment alone
as soon as i can find it, i'll probably talk on the phone
'cause i've written in my journal and all of my friends have gone home
maybe i should eat first, 'cause i just bought a p'zone
i don't wanna spill the food on my nautica though
'cause i found out today that i'm actually fresh outta soap
and i've been meaning to get more, just never bothered to go
and i'm really thirsty, i wanna sip this bottle of coke
but i'm sore, feels like there's a thorn lodged in my throat
and there's not enough time, this hour glass' bottom is broke
i'm just an average joe, trying to lift a modest load
too busy for love, i guess i should've gotten eloped
i would've done it, but i must've dropped my wallet in snow
but it should be there when it melts, at least god i hope

there's too much to do, and i'm in the middle of somethin'
i'll eventually get to it, i'm just too busy doing nothin'

I have a lot of work to do with my audio practicing, so don't take this the wrong way, but, you can do a lot more with this. And you very well May Have, since it's like 6+ years old.
The writing is great but if you incorporate some hesitations, and some more emphasis on the end rhymes, I think the flow would sound better.

This was good. I don't listen to your audios but this obviously had the same 'rap' quality flow I'd expect to hear. You were able to put to words the feeling a lot of people on here probably feel, quite a bit, while not being too verbose or out of reach. What you said meant what it said, and the message was felt. The rhyme scheme was technical enough to be sufficient but not overbearing, it didn't overtake the point. I enjoyed this a lot. Thanks for the read.
