”Circle of Life“

Think about how the Earth as we know it
is spinning around in a circular motion.
Its curvature moulded with mass attracting mass
to form the perfect proponents for our natural habitat.
The planet, with its gravity, conforming as it does
while establishing a path that sees us orbiting the sun.

The force is just enough so all objects are assembled
and its contents are essential, as we revolve round a star.
Left with some metals and water enfolding in parts
but only when the dust settles we'll know who we are.

Light grows from the dark though existence is primal
as life’s only just started beginning its cycle.
Our instinctive survival needs are the key component
that brings archetypal man to set the wheel in motion!

So with a degree of focus man was front of the queue
his feet were swollen as he hunted for food.
He'd keep on going, just jumping through hoops
waiting for evolution to master the limits.
Muscling through a range of characteristics
while looking to move on from his animal instincts.

Our infallible wisdom and penchant for design
growing gradually bigger as they were endlessly revised.
Until the methods we'd applied at the start as a helping hand,
become weapons utilised for harming our fellow man.

Vast armies protesting back, causing riots for peace,
anarchists who pressed and anchored, finding their feet.
In fighting for freedom, once raised in the slums,
now defiant of treason - their aim had begun.
The next gen's inclined to repeat with years spent just brainwashing us
due to bygone belief’s, a spearhead always rises up!

This secular cycle’s just returning at last
as if the present’s reminding us we haven’t learned from our pasts.
The same circuit elapses in an elliptical grand design
having predetermined our actions with history as a guide.
In his infamy, man decides to labour for ‘good’ with war
but the thing with the sands of time, is they’ve tasted our blood before!

If humanity could restore, unity would reign supreme,
with nations in full support to maintain the peace.
But we always bring the cusp of war for a whole range of reasons,
and the past is what we all ignore, so we'll once again repeat it…
