This Jus Allah>Current Jus Allah.

I hate him tbh but this was closer to his style in the original JMT days which I didn't mind at all. His modern style is a despicable attempt of sounding rash as Vinnie and he just doesn't pull it off at all

Certain 08-12-2013 05:29 PM

Neither Jus Allah nor Ikon the Verbal Hologram deserved Stoupe's beats.

Nigma 08-12-2013 05:30 PM

I disagree, I feel Stoupe is a legend however Vinnie grew into one as well. Wish Stoupe woulda stuck with rap tho, it's a shame he switched genres

Certain 08-12-2013 05:32 PM

Ikon the Verbal Hologram screams angrily a lot. Canibus did right by Stoupe, at least.

Also, Stoupe did an album with Supastition this year under the name Vestige. I haven't checked it out because Supastition should be banned from doing anything but freestyle battling.

That was my favourite song for a long time about 5 years ago when I listened to a lot of Canibus. Not a huge fan of him anymore but it's hard to dispute his early career was impressive, especially Rip the Jacker.

That wasn't his early career at all. That was his third iteration. His early career was his self-titled crap album and the improved but uneven 2000 B.C.

Then came a brief attempt to make it mainstream. Then he created Baby Grande and figured out who he was.

Nigma 08-12-2013 05:46 PM

Oh. I don't know his albums chronological order very well I guess, I downloaded his discography and listened to it at work

Certain 08-12-2013 05:48 PM

Can-I-Bus came out in 1998, then 2000 B.C. in 2000 (A.D.). C True Hollywood Stories (2001) was a disaster, then Mic Club: The Curriculum (2002) had moments. Rip the Jacker (2003) is definitely his best work.

Nigma 08-12-2013 05:56 PM

I think I listened to a lot of 2000 BC. Did that have Leviticus on it?

Nigma 08-12-2013 05:57 PM

Nvm that's rip the jacker too. Stoupe has the dopest sampling

Vulgar 08-12-2013 06:00 PM

Jus used to be absolutely sick.
