Rules

Due Dates:
• Verses are due FRIDAY by 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends MONDAY ideally
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours, anything longer is a DQ and/or Double DQ
• To avoid issues, you are encouraged to PM me your verse in advance

Line Limit:
• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 20 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.

Voting:
• I do not have time to count links, and I know nobody wants to post them because it’s tedious. Do your part and vote or I’m making house calls.

General Rules:
• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will disqualified.
• A check in isn't mandatory, but it is encouraged.
• If your opponent doesn't check in,
you still have to post a verse.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
must match the 1st person's line amount, and can’t post more lines.

Nah for a few reasons. Firstly, theres no such thing as having a minneapolis in your mouth, and even on the side of the wp it makes sense, the sentence itself is still kinda nonsense. Mini apple is passable as a wp for me phonetically but considering the words involved, I think it'd be next to impossible to execute it in a way that's not corny.

lol you know considering the background of his battle with barc I actually like this bar. If it weren't for the whole tae kwan debacle, I wouldn't care too much for this as a wp, but this is a strong punch with all things considered

This is shy as a haymaker because I'm not 100% sold on you calling him a daisy. It's just not a word I'm normalized to as an insult. That being said, I think you're british? so it might be more common there. If you could somehow word the set-up line in a way that makes it feel more natural to call him a daisy, this bar would be fire, but either way this is pretty good.

Wand had the opener. Daisy as in a soft lad? Over Zealous was good. Emotion was an ok flip too. Everything was nicely worded.

I have to say... This weird “wordplay” style where guys type “Taiwanese” and mean “tie when these” or “all over Zealous” and mean “all over Zel is” when there’s no tie in to a punch of any kind is really strange to me. I’ve now seen it in multiple battles on here, and I don’t see any appeal to it at all. There’s no wit involved if you can’t tie it to a diss or a punchline. But, guys here apparently like it. Odd. Do guys now really just think of words that sound like other words and put them randomly into lines without trying to make it funny? Where’s the skill in that?

Anyway, I thought both verses were pretty forced. Wanderer’s verse was less so. So, he wins... Cheers.

I ain't like any of Zelph's bars. I actually didn't get the Taiwanese wp at first until @Ajax explained it, because that shit is forced as fuck. Taiwanese = TIE WAN/WON KNEES!

I honestly thought Zelph's whole verse was garbage, nothing was quotable and I can't tell what happened.

v - Wand. I wasn't going to quote the over Zealous/ over Zel is bar at first, but I thought the wording saved it a bit. Wand had the better verse and delivered more towards dissing the opponent in an interesting way. I have no clue what the hell Zelph's verse was, but it made me chronically depressed. This is what my screen looked like reading his shit:


He's better than this, but dude txting like a jobber. He went from potential contender at 2-2 to txt game Santino Marella with those first two bars and just never gained control over some of the worst bars I've seen since coming back.
