Night Shift

Good luck, @Frank and @trap.

Swore an oath of honor and adorned a coat of armor
Father left when young, I'm leaving a son; scripted karma
Lifes been rough on barren land, the cards they've dealt have been enough
Wife stuck me with harsh demands, now should I call her bluff
But I'm a man of my word and so I say my last goodbyes
This journey sounds absurd but the futures in my eyes
A vision I depict is of the lands beyond my grasp
Jungle, snow, and sand ... castles to expand my wrath
Until then, it's me, myself, and I; dreaming 'pon the wall
A knights shift during the night shift, most boring of them all

" 'pon " and "scripted karma" were forced but the rest was really dope.

I liked the regular use of internals without going too heavily on the rhyme schemes, gave it a smooth feel

lol. cute twist on the topic. the wording was a bit iffy and i probably didn't like the two instances split said were forced, otherwise i don't have much to complain about. the approach was fresh. it's a shame three of us were no-showed.
