help me explain this concept to a Korean student
one of my students emailed me and asked what "one love" means. she saw it in a video where someone signed off on an email by saying "one love." I was trying to explain that it was another way to say "see you later," but that just felt incomplete. I'm kinda stuck now. how would you explain it?

like maybe a call for the unity of man?
that's not a bad angle to take.
Ahhh...that is good...
Same as "peace out"
peace out is pretty idiomatic too though. I said this:
To say “one love” is a way of saying “I love you,” but not in a romantic way. It’s like saying “we are united together because we share the same love.” Something you would say to your friends or people you want to be your friends. |
des nailed it. came in to say something along the lines of unity.
"Let's get together and feel all right."

'One love refers to the universal love and respect expressed by all people for all people, regardless of race, creed, or color.'
