Just got back from Wisconsin

Flew into Milwaukee on Thursday, hit up the downtown area for BEERS and BRATS at the Milwaukee Brat House on Old World 3rd Street, and hit up a bunch of bars in the downtown area.

Spent Friday exploring the Historic Third Ward. Eating and drinking basically all day. Strangely discovered a lot of fish in Milwaukee. Had some incredible Mexican food, too. Spend a good chunk of the day at the Milwaukee Public Market sampling fresh oysters, wine and cheese.

Saturday we went to get brunch at the only bottomless mimosa spot we could find. Hit a couple brewery tours, and a cider bar. Played cornhole with locals. Went to the Milwaukee Bucks game in the afternoon to watch The Greek Freak. After the game we went to the Lower East Side and hit the college bars to watch the Big 10 Championship game; Wisconsin Badgers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes. Got to console all the college chicks after the Badgers lost.

Sunday we woke up at 7am, drove back to the Milwaukee Brat House and hopped on a bus up to Green Bay. It was definitely the best option, since we had planned on taking our rental car up. This way we got to drink on the drive up, learn fight songs and hang out with local fans. Got to the game and had a huge tailgating party with more beer and brats. Enjoyed the game on the 50 yard line, and watched Brett Hundley throw for a WHOPPING 84 yards and an INT. Somehow our run game and defense pulled us through and we got the win in overtime. Then we explored the Hall of Fame, the Pro Shop, the Lombardi & Lambeau statues, the #PackersFence and all of the surrounding neighborhood. Got even further drunk on the bus home. Once we got back to Milwaukee, we got the "BEST PIZZA IN MKE" and watched the Eagles fall apart.

Monday we went back to the Public Market for breakfast and to pick up some brats, cheese curds, spices and jams, etc to bring home. Then hit some Irish bar, went to see the Bronze Fonz statue (AYYYEEEEEE), and chilled in the downtown area until we had to leave for the airport. Got back to San Jose at like 11pm last night. Taking one more day off work to recupe. Tomorrow it's back to reality.

Good times. Thinking about making this an annual trip.

@kannon I was in Milwaukee and at the Packer game this past weekend lol. VIP pass at the packer game was cool.

Glad you like Wisconsin.

Steelers fan but glad you caught a Packers game at Lambeau, did the same many yrs ago. It’s one of those never regret it scenarios. Back when Rodgers was gaining notoriety. It was snowing vs Steve Smith’s Panthers. Amazing atmosphere

Looks like a great trip man. Would love to catch a basketball or football game. Anytime I've been in the US there's been nothing on at the time

Whenever I eventually visit the US I hope it looks something like that. Food, beer and sports, fuck yeah.
