including wiggins in trade for k.love?

I hope not.

I hope the Cavs wait it out. Wolves leverage is going to weaken by the day throughout the season.

We're going to have to offload other solid young talent to fit K. Love on the cap anyway... and we have good assets for the future that could help soften the blow for the T. Wolves.

yes - K. Love would be a great addition. Yes, I would take him today over wiggins today... and maybe wiggins doesnt ever get to the k love levels, but his athleticism has already shown in summer league, and there is no reason that the wolves deserve what they are asking for, for someone that has been courteous enough to tell them that he is going to effing walk.

the cavs can have their cake, eat it too, and give the wolves a couple icecream scoops in the process.

waaaaaaaaaaaait.

The minute the Warriors realize Klay Thompson is not worth rejecting that offer, though, Love will get traded.

yea that is definitely the one major risk, good call out.

do you think the warriors are going to change their stance though? it sounded like him and steph are boys and that they are pretty much set in their stance, but im probably just hoping thats the case lol

Certain 07-17-2014 04:38 PM

The Warriors are kind of foolish about things, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Half Wit It 07-17-2014 04:40 PM

If they get K. Love and still don't get a ring Lebron's legacy is dead to me.

Sharp 07-17-2014 04:44 PM

I agree with certain, the warriors will probably give in before the cavs. But with bron and now miller/jones showing up at forward I wouldn't be too quick to trade wiggins for love

still james/love would be deadly

Strikta 07-17-2014 05:22 PM

It would be a baaadd move.. Wiggins got WAY too much potential to let go.

Tho I think Love is dope... in the long run this wouldn't be a good move.

Paradigm 07-17-2014 06:15 PM

for the love of god just dont let the warriors get klove. i cant stand warrior fans around here

big baby 07-17-2014 07:21 PM

uh-oh 07-17-2014 07:23 PM

i want them to keep waiters

i dont fuck with wiggins

if he's dope and stays a cav that will change, but he's scrawny and i don't think he's gonna hang

i hope im wrong i dunno he just doesnt impress me like superstar impress me

if he's never gonna be as good as kevin love, for gods sake get rid of him. love is young and a G

waiters is solid tho i dont like that he was offered i think?

The T'wolves aren't very interested in Dion Waiters.

Keep Wiggins.

I was initially for getting Love, if I were a Cavs fan.

But Wiggins-Lebron has potential GOAT wing defense possibilities.

Kyrie takes the burden of ball handling/offense a bit off LeBron

Wiggins, who's more refined as a defensive player at this stage, takes the burden of guarding the best wing player off LeBron.

LeBron goes into God-Efficiency Mode.

Love, obviously, has his positives, too. But let Wiggins grow and you'll have two connecting links that could set the franchise up for the next 12-15 years (once LeBron retires and Wiggins assumes alpha dog position).

The counter-point is, obviously, that Love is already a 26-12 guy. Wiggins may never turn into the talent Love already is. But Love is a notorious stat-chaser. If he were on the Cavs I'd imagine he'd be a 18-10 guy. Which is still, obviously, very good. But he offers no rim protection, and is a net negative on defense. I say try to trade for a defensive minded big man on a reasonable contract and roll the dice with the current power structure of LeBron->Irving->Wiggins->Waiters. Maybe hope that Bennett gets his act together and turns into a living, breathing NBA player.

The thought of Wiggins realizing his potential with LeBron is too enticing.

Lol fuck no they ain't. @Certain

I concur, except that Wiggins is not ready yet to take on top-tier wing players in late-game situations. But he'll get there.

Now, if the T'wolves are interested in also sending Gorgui Dieng to the Cavs, that would change things. He has the look of an elite defensive center.

uh-oh 07-17-2014 07:33 PM

is there even a such thing as elite defensive centers anymore tho?

Marc Gasol, Joakim Noah, Andrew Bogut, Tyson Chandler (well, before last year), DeAndre Jordan (though he's overrated), Roy Hibbert, Andre Drummond, Larry Sanders (same as Chandler).

Most centers are defensively inclined now.

namix 07-17-2014 08:05 PM

strong analysis @El Pancake and @Certain

and @uh-oh, i am with you on waiters man! as long as he can be happy, and isn't a punk about coming off the bench (if it makes sense)... i think that dude has that superstar click in him, in moments...

honestly, i hate to say it - but there is a part of me that almost wouldn't want to give anything for k love..... Bennett, to i think cakes point, is at least looking like he might have shaken off some first year jitters (or at least shook off a freshman 15 lol)

in the end though, i could see wiggins getting great faster by keying off lebron --- and not sure how his career pans out being sent to minny as much...

namix 07-17-2014 08:07 PM

and oh yea - our most glaring hole is definitely center.... Varejo doesnt have 82 games in him anymore, and frankly, prob was more of a PF anyway, but we didnt have options once big z retired

Certain 07-17-2014 08:07 PM

My guess is it's going to be Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett in whatever package the Cavs give to the T'wolves.

Bennett has looked really in shape and ready to play in summer league.

Paradigm 07-17-2014 08:07 PM

to be fair wiggins does look good in the summer league albeit hes facing other rookies and scrubs
