I got this bullshit from Kroger some hatch chili salsa that’s sweet as fuck and garbage.
Why can’t I get good simple salsa?
Tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, green chilis I mean that should do it right?
I don’t want to have to make my own salsa but this is bullshit

Use to. It’s nice because you can control your own heat I don’t mind a mango salsa either sometimes but I usually don’t buy anymore buddy makes his own I’ll grab a jar here and there

Also shit salsa is fucking annoying

Slow cook tomatoes with water or oil, or both (depending on how much fat you want), cut to your consistency of choice. Sauce pan on low heatll do

Season with garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, and whatever else you want like cilantro, chili powder or whatever. Can't get by without those first four tho

Add onion/jalapeño cut to desired consistency

Stir throughout

Store in fridge

My personal salsa though

Diced granny Smith apple
Diced beet
Diced red onion
Diced Jalapeño
Other shit like corn if desired
Salt/pepper
Garlic powder
Oil

Mix the shit out of it and serve cold

There's plenty of good salsa out there, worth the extra $2 for a reputable brand

Idk how widely available it is outside of Chicago but Frontera (Rick Bayless' restaurant brand) is pretty fucking fire.
