The corporate shark swooshed as he sauntered.
A big fish in a small pond,
looking for titbits he could gnaw on
and sensing blood in the water.
He judged the performance of staff by what they sold in a week.
His steely-eyed appearance widened
as blue, cold and as deep as an ocean would be.
He coasts through a sea of paperwork surveying the wreckage.
Jagged teeth gnash uneasily
and halt his momentum,
as he trawls through the deadwood that make up the jetsam.
He sprays them a predatory smile as he circles their desks
his power-suited body heading out and through the lobby.
No words are expressed.
There’s a turning of heads nervously stretching above their computer screens
looking for who would be first to fall under his scrutiny.
