Week 13 rankings, chat and predictions

Hi, friends. Welcome back after another interesting week of competition. Almost everyone voted, and almost everyone showed. But we did have a few heavyweight sign-outs, which thinned our ranks quite a bit.

This week's topics are titles of movies that were good enough to make The New York Times' list of the 1,000 best ever.

Championship

1. Frank (9-3)*
2. Cereal_Killa (3-1) | Trouble in Paradise

Contender match
3. Johnathan Mercy (3-2)
4. King Ra. (6-5) | One False Move

5. Adonis (5-7)
6. Vulgar (5-3) | The Asphalt Jungle

7. zygote (9-3)^
8. Soulstice (1-3) | The Long Goodbye

9. Vividlyvague (6-5)
10. timeless (6-6) | Boys Don't Cry

11. Zenland (1-1)
12. cyph her (0-1) | Coming Home

13. Perpendicular (1-2)
14. Certain (2-4) | From Here to Eternity

* — Frank is ranked No. 1 but is not the champion because he has not won the championship match. The title was vacated by Zombie.
^ — zygote may have last week's loss turned into a win if he votes on three extra battles this week.

Sup ho.

Certain 05-19-2014 03:29 AM

@Vividlyvague, can you pick a topic for Perpendicular and me from this list?

There are plenty to choose from.

Split 05-19-2014 03:32 AM

apologies for not coming correct in the champ match. good verse zombie. i did not write a good verse, but I didn't want to no show.

anyways. done with leagues and general posting for as long as i can stay away. need to focus on my life. too much of a tendency to withdraw. as soon as I couldn't post I realized how much I wanted to. hard times on planet earth.

if you send me a verse i'll write with you, eventually. exorbitant data fees mean nothing for awhile.

^^^ @Fig @Whys Ways @El Pancake @dead man @Vulgar @Certain @zygote @literally everyone.

sorry got not voting.

e11even 05-19-2014 03:33 AM

Blue velvet. I highly disregarded film.

Split 05-19-2014 03:35 AM

Oh. I can write one more week and vote, that's fine

Blue Velvet is a great movie. But as a topic? This is why I go with oats normally.

@Perpendicular, I'll let you veto this one if you don't like it. I'm up for writing about anything.

e11even 05-19-2014 03:37 AM

Ok. Allow me a second gander please.

Certain 05-19-2014 03:38 AM

Go for it.

I was like 9 when I saw it but I remember almost everything.

Tbh I was a degenerate preteen and watched it for the boobs. The cinematics were lost on my baron soul.

Certain 05-19-2014 03:45 AM

Those aren't even good boobs.

Split Eight signed out. The rankings were adjusted accordingly.

e11even 05-19-2014 03:49 AM

Degenerates don't care. I was 9 dude. I was nine.

That was actually my first set of European boobs.
My very very first set of boobs was in Tango & Cash. Great little flash.

my dad bought me "showgirls" didn't end well for my sexual tastes latter in life..

Certain 05-19-2014 03:56 AM

@Cereal_Killa, can I message you some interview questions for the magazine?

e11even 05-19-2014 03:56 AM

Lol. That'll do it.

After HBO's Real Sex, Taxi Cab Confessions and Pimps Up Hoes Down, my tastes have been pretty sleazy.

I'd rather have good sex over a good relationship for the most part.
