Sharp 11-29-2019 10:41 AM

Answer I wish you'd show up here for an eagles game so some hammered skinhead with a vaguely Irish sounding last name curbstomps you for saying 'no cheez wiz, thank you'

Nah. I’m no where near Des age. And was curious to see what vegans ate in place of the Turkey, lol.

I see a lot of posts on social media about “meatless” this and that. If they can’t eat meat then why continue to call what they are eating by what they refuse to eat, example “meatless beef”.

Makes no sense to me.

Bunch of casseroles, sides, and anything I bring. Lately my mother in law likes to get a substitute turkey... Log.... For lack of a better term. Tastes fine

Answer 11-30-2019 10:03 AM

I'm not vegetarian but my wife is, as are a couple of her sisters. They do have tofurky roasts like https://www.foodservicedirect.com/to...SABEgIeoPD_BwE

(fyi, this price is for 6 of them. they do sell in singles)

Not gonna lie, I don't really think it's that good taste-wise. Everything else is cool, though. Casseroles, stuffing, mashed potatoes (using mushroom gravy), cranberry sauce, pies, can usually be all made vegan pretty easily (if they aren't already) without affecting the flavor. Deviled eggs are also kosher if you're not vegan

vegan food can be delicious with the right person cooking it. I do try to limit my meat intake, but that's next to impossible for someone with my lack of will-power living in the deep south
