Unpopular Rap Opinions

i'll start this thread off w/ 2...

1. Ether >>>>. Hit 'Em Up

2. Jay-Z can't be top 5 doa. just too much lyrical biting going on, it's like putting a biter in the txt HOF, u can't do it. Jay says he paying homage but it's just swagger jacking to the infinite power. I love son's music but HOV is basically BIG, Jaz-O, Nas, etc refurbished. whoever is hot atm, that's who Jay tries to sound like

I think Jay Z and Kanye West make just as negative of an impact on Hip Hop as Young Money does.

I think Kendrick Lamar, Tech N9ne and Funk Volume are the top emcees today.

ill nik-A 08-11-2013 08:00 AM

Why are people so fucking ignorant

This guy @Death is a fucking moron

Dagel is a biter 08-11-2013 08:04 AM

I'm not even that big of a rap fan. Hence my avatar and custom title. I listen to all maybe ten rappers? Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common, Atmosphere, Outkast, Macklemore, Hopsin, Tech N9ne, Kendrick Lamar, and Aesop Rock. Even then, I listen to one of those guys maybe...MAYBE once a month.

NAS was cool when I was younger, now? No thanks.

ill nik-A 08-11-2013 08:06 AM

If u listen to Aesop Rock ure a nerd

Ok don't post again, ok? Thx nerd

Dagel is a biter 08-11-2013 08:07 AM

Lol. I read comic books, watch anime and play video games so guess I qualify as a geek or nerd. Sure. I still think you're being ignorant.

ill nik-A 08-11-2013 08:12 AM

Ure ignorant cuz ure afraid of development ure hanging by a thread of what these nerds tell u hip hop is AND I'm ignorant haha

I think you have no idea what you're talking about and you're just spewing recycled statements and opinions you stole from others.

That's what I think tbh.

Dagel is a biter 08-11-2013 08:24 AM

Basing an opinion on the fact I've liked one album by both artists and everything after that I felt was bad? Based on the opinion I feel like their "Suit n Tie" esque music pushes other rappers to do the same bullshit? I feel like you are getting too upset and offended by one's opinion. It's a rap forum Mr. King. Don't let people's opinions on music upset you. Especially when it's not directed to you and it's relevant to the thread topic.

@Death you may need to do a little more research bro and actually look at all the rappers who use other peoples lyrics

your favorite rappers have all done it

God Of War 08-11-2013 03:06 PM

and hit em up will never be bested by any other diss for the impact it had on rap in general

of course, dre day was ok but i thought eazy e was better with real muthaphucking g's and etc. I also still think no diss has the impact that hit em up did. that shit started a coastal war and if it didnt it made it alot more fueled. no other diss has really had that type of impact on the industry

Inno 08-11-2013 03:26 PM

Werd I feel you.

Was listening to that eazy e track last night my dealer had it
Playing while he was serving me lol...

I cant think of any others beside the em and benzino beef.
