Most Lyrical Rapper?

Who you got?

Crooked I IMO

Also, what do you think qualifies an artist as being lyrical?

Split 09-25-2014 12:44 AM

@ronnietheking

Clayray 09-25-2014 12:46 AM

... Split stop it

Blanco Bishop 09-25-2014 01:02 AM

Impossible to determine.

Styles n preferences.

Izzy Reef 09-25-2014 01:16 AM

Using Big words is not being lyrical unless the shit makes sense

Adonis 09-25-2014 03:32 AM

K dot

If this based off pure lyricism though, speak always been my dude.

Then more Gully but lyrical on that real shit I'd say Willie the kid.

Mitch 09-25-2014 04:16 AM

Illogic

Lyrical is how complex one can get in his comfort zone, how vivid one can get without getting boring, how abstract one can get without losing meaning.

oats 09-25-2014 04:47 AM

Iggy Azalea

BROKE LESNAR 09-25-2014 05:20 AM

It depends on their content. What aspect of their content personally interests you the most.

I always liked Unknown Prophets for their perspective on life. Nabo Rawk for his humorous approach. Cormega for his ability to paint a vivid picture of reality. A younger Nas was similar to Cormega but nowadays he isn't somebody who drops anticipated albums. Last Emp for his personality and relatable subject matter. Necro for sadistic condemnation of dumb bitches. Elzhi is one of the best lyricists these days.

I prefer rappers that say "nothing" well, to rappers that say "something" poorly

Word to Elzmatic.

I'd say Crooked I is up there, Brother Ali always impresses me, I actually like Tragedy Ghaddafi or w/e though so my opinion is void lmao

Orc 09-25-2014 08:19 AM

The word lyrical has become a parody of itself.

Hush 09-25-2014 08:28 AM

Kin 09-25-2014 08:34 AM

agree for the most part.

people talking lyricists without mentioning Pun? too many people to be named tbh, just depends on what kind of lyricism floats your boat

Izzy Reef 09-25-2014 11:41 AM

Lyrical is how creatively you convey emotion. It's simple. Everybody has different tastes, and this thread has been done literally probably the most out of every thread ever. Close this fucka garbage

Slim Shady EP/LP
Scary Movies
Til Hell Freezes Over
Dead Wrong remix
Green And Gold
Any Man
Off With His Head
The Anthem
That track with Dr. Dre off the Wild Wild West OST
Kids
Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito freestyles
Hellbound
Get U Mad
5 Star Generals
Renegade

Is there anything I'm missing other than Infinite, D12, and all of his other albums/guest appearances. His underground catalog is the illest stuff I've ever heard. The list I gave you is what I listen to regularly. Is there any additional underground tracks I'm missing?

Ghost1 09-25-2014 11:10 PM
