to my NCG's and scam/scheming artists. check the scenario..so i got on craigs list for jobs and someone sent me a 2000 dollar check..
..thinking thier is some kind of scam of involved. not sure if i should just take it to a check cashing place and cash it. deposit it and see if it clears but not sdpend any money until it does... or just rip it up and say fuck it. here is the scenario and how i aqcuired the check. what do yall think...
i get on craigs list. see an ad for cleaning an apartment. i respond. the ad says that these people will be moving to annapolis and need someone to clean thier apartment and go grocery shopping and cleaning supply shopping for them. when i responded, they emailed me saying that they would provide me a check for one week ($385) and cleaning materials/groceryshopping money. all they wanted was my name address and cell phone number so they could background check me and then decide if they wwould use me or not. so i abliged and sent the info thinking to myself -what could they possibly do with this information other than come to my home. well.. the next day they sent me an email saying they have accepted me and would be sending the check. i said ok. they then texted me friday (2 days later) saying that i would recieve the mail from them that day with a check included. so i checked the mail and it was there there. a check for $1,985 made out to my name from a business called timberlake foods in tupelo mississippi. the banks address on the check was in alabama. the priority mail address that the check came from was in denver. none of the documents had the guys name on it -not even the check. the check was signed by someone but of course it was computer generated. its an official check with watermarks and all. just saying yo -if its a forgery than its fucking excellent and the people are master printers. the guys name is christopher corr. i looked him up and found a guy from mississippi with that name who is an interior designer. so maybe legit -but what does that have to do with timberlake foods? they sent me an extensive list of supplies and groceries that they expected me to provide including things for a baby that trhey say they are expecting. things such as a baby crib and other things. even cookware a vacuum and other materials as well as an expensive list of groceries. i looked up check schemes and couldnt really find anything that seems relative to my scenario. what should do my peoples? what would my NCG's do? i need some advice and am looking for serious responses from people with some sort of inteligence and knowledge of checking and how things like this would work -espescially if i got fucked over. what would they have to gain from it? why would they pay for priority mail if it was a scheme? feel me? i just dont know. my aunt and uncle are saying dont fuck with it, i really need the money and am considering just cashing it and keeping it. not a good idea of course. but it would fix a lot of financial problems im having right now. holla!!!!!!!!!!! |

Then again desperation can lead to willful blindness Gluck |
ever thought of calling the bank the check was from to verify?
or contact the food spot to verify? why would one document have so many different places of origin mississppi, alabama and denver? deposit check then keep emails for protection my G |
Do it, and then report back with what happens.
It could be bad for you, but will probably be entertaining for Netcees. |
This is a Veritas choose your own adventure

My life aint fucked up G. My finances are though, ever since this woman gave birth and proved that i have another child. How woould $1000 a month in child support effect your lives though.
Answer honestly and then we can discuss what you might consider doing for an extra bit of cash. |
...btw. i texted these people and said that i had deposited the chexk and was waiting for it to clear. I didnt actually deposit it though. I still have it. Just wanted to see what would unfold after. So once they acknowledged that i deposited it. They sent an email saying that they had a renovational expert who need 1400 of those funds western unioned to them. Tue scam has revealed itself. Im not is ignorant as the ignorant believe i am. Just wanted to see what some of the dumber members of netcees would say/do in my situation. So far youve all responded acordingly to how i already assumed you would. Rather predictable of you. Good job
|
Knew it lol
|
If you pay 1000$ a month in child support, and are (most likely now) poor, you might want to cancel your cable, internet, and cellphone (get a burner) or anything else that you honestly could do without. Anything to save money.
