I think Eminem is still dope, but his last album was a big snorefest to me. The Bad Meets Evil album was dope though. In any case, a less interesting Eminem is still leagues above most of the MCs making music nowadays in my opinion.

I got em surprising some people with a lil brilliance. I mean come on -don't think he doesn't hear the buzz and see the responses from people that his shit has become lame. Hopefully he takes heed and blows all yall's hating minds. Would be nice to see.

I think what he sees more are the album sales and that the new recipe is working. There's no reason for hin to change his style in that context.

I was singing this song after Encore. Then he released Relapse, and it was good, but it was apparent that he was TRYING to be what he used to be. Em' was fresh off the battle circuit, and dope when he first came out. Not saying he doesn't still have potential, but his tastes have changed and it's less entertaining. His metaphors and 'punches' on Bad Meets Evil were laughably bad, like 3rd grade jokes bad. I think he was reading the comments after Encore, and after Relapse. Otherwise he wouldn't have mentioned the accents on Recovery, which is a much more grown up album. A transition album. I don't doubt that he can still write a raw verse, but his opinion on what's dope and what isn't is all fucked up if he thinks those Bad Meets Evil lines were nice. Battling, and being around other battlers gives you an idea of what to and not to say. From what I've seen from him recently, he has no idea.

When you put it like that.. its sad but true, but you would also think that hanging with slaughterhouse would put him amongst enough raw talent to know what's dope. Unfortunately his music has always reflected his current and previous life struggles. He's no longer getting high so now his struggle is staying sobre.. and quite frankly, I don't want to hear a record about that. Wish he would pull some crazy publicity stunts so he can fire back at the outcome of those once the news gets ahold of it. That's when em is at his peak. But yes, I agree with you on the point that he's just boring now :(

It's embarrassing listening to a new Eminem verse around anyone. He'll be going about his usual style, it's sounding dope and then he says some shit like 'I guess that's why they call it window pain' or fucking his RV up, or cutting the mustard, or being so done with shit he may as well wipe. Just unbelievably corny. His ego and others respect/fear of him apparently keep them from taking him aside and being like, WTF is that?

I wish there was a way some nc cats could just bomb on him somewhere to rowl him up. He needs to be attacked by someone I think.
