Embarrassing question...
Been curling these dumbbells and am at the point where these 50 pounds are pretty easy so I'm like I should start doing push-ups more often to get my chest a lil strong and all that shit. I was only able to do 10 before I needed a rest!!!! Wtf??? Granted I'm 6'2 250 and know it's more weight I'm still disappointed. Help me understand what the hell going on. I have no weight bench tho I wish I did, the only thing I have is these dumbbells and my own body weight. Is there a way to get my strength up more with just these tools? Troll to a minimum but of course I expect it.....fuck u seyance!!!!!

Go from 10-1, 1-10 I did 110 the first time and had a good pump. Most the time when im just doing them because i'll get to 60 or 70 before stopping, but I definitely do them more often. Do crunches and shit the same way. Still should bench. I need to quit fucking around and get a curl bar. |

If you're not going to invest in a gym membership or a home gym then what Bags said was pretty on point.
Pull ups/Push ups/Dips You can do curls with the dumbbells. Although you'll get more out of pullups than curls at this point. You may not be able to do a pullup at your current weight and level of fitness? What Bags is referring to (DB Bench off the floor) is a floor press. If you don't have a bench, or a substitute, then okay. It works the lockout portion of the bench press and has less ROM, obviously, but it's better than nothing. You can do Tate Presses or DB Skullcrushers. Pullovers, too. Goblet Squats and maybe DB Deadlifts (you won't get much out of these with the weights you have now). Lunges and Farmer Walks. But yeah, pullups/push ups/dips/bodyweight squats. |
