game programming

Anyone have an interest to learn game programming and 2d modeling/animation?

I am asking because after so many months of research studying etc different books and shit I have put together a BEASTLY tutorial set for c++.c# 3dmodeling

I also have side sets for unity3d (if you dont want to build ur own engine)
blender 3d and unityscript

the thing is anyone can find tons of tutorials but i found and created some of the dopest ones that you can learn fast and clearly

I always had an issue before school where i didnt know where to begin and didnt understand when I did so i assume alot of people have that issue. so if any one is interested I need some people to test this out for me

Perfect timing is perfect.

I just downloaded Blender 2.67 about a week ago, not sure if there's a newer version since they update it frequently. I'm definitely interested in learning some 3D programming. So far I've got a PDF tutorial that covers the basics, and it's coming along quite well. Getting the hang of things. As far as 3D modelling goes, I know I've got that covered since I'm naturally good at designing. I also have SketchUp 8 and I've done some work with it.

What exactly is the tutorial for concerning Blender? is it for the Python script?

Coup 07-08-2013 03:46 AM

here's a shot in the dark...

Do not give GOW your email addresses.
He is collecting them...he will never actually send you the tutorial.
I know this from personal experience

Why? nah I don't have messenger though, sorry.

Btw what kind of games do you make? I'm trying to put together a basic FPS that takes place in a run down version of my local town. Modelling the town is easy, the animation stuff is tricky though, and I have zero knowledge as to how it's going to be programmed.

This guy made a pretty sick FPS using the Blender engine:

This is a personal 1-man project, so nothing serious. I simply want to walk around and interact with my model, more of experimentation and learning rather then graphics or fluidity.

Unity sounds dope, but I'll probably pick it up later. And is that $1,500.00? Are you serious?

Also, are you an independent programmer? or do you work for someone?

independent i work with an animation artist and another programmer from pakistan our first android/iphone game will be out soon which will also be playable on pc but the big game im working on is a little ways off.

though we are thinking of creating our own game engine

but you should try unity man the free version has a shitload of features and can do everything u want it to

Meth 07-08-2013 08:36 PM

U send the emails yet GoW I haven't checked

Sounding like the founders of Youtube. That's dope.

Goodluck with designing your own engine, that's going to be some work.

I definitely will, mate. I'll probably make a thread in a month or so showcasing my work. For now, it's more of a learning process from noob to master.

Objective 07-09-2013 03:02 AM

I'd be interested to check it out once I get a better pc. ^^
