Best NBA draft class?

84, 96, or 03?

Strikta 06-24-2013 03:38 AM

This is tough, but I'ma say 96.

Philly 06-24-2013 04:15 AM

I was talkin about this just a few hours ago... that's crazy.

I'm goin 96 too though

Meth 06-24-2013 04:19 AM

yeah that's how I feel. 84 and 03 had a cluster of great players, whereas 96 had a handful of great players plus a bunch more above average talents (I consider Ben Wallace part of that draft even though he was undrafted).

Philly 06-24-2013 04:31 AM

AI, Kobe, Nash, Marbury, Ray Allen, Peja Stojakovic, Camby, Antoine Walker, Shareef Abdur-Raheem,
Ilgauskas, Jermaine O'Neal, Kittles, D-Fish.

...goddamn

hotdogvendorman 06-24-2013 06:38 AM

im going with 03 ... bosh wade hinrich james dwest melo a few others. .. n only cuz kobe the only one outta his draft that really won titles.... i hate miami but at least they winning ships now

yall must write very similiar and both be from bmore or something

oats 06-24-2013 04:21 PM

84 is typically considered the best draft class of all time: Hakeem, MJ, Barkley, Stockton, and a handful of modest all-stars.

But when I look at it, I think 96 just has MORE talent. Of course there's no MJ caliber players, or even Barkley or Olajuwon caliber, but still: Kobe, Nash, AI, Ray Allen, plus a handful of above-average all-stars like Marbury, Jermaine O'neal and Starbury. To me, it's between those two years, unless more of the 03 players turn in phenomenal careers (Melo has it in him to get some rings, which would help the case).

Chyeahhh!!! 06-24-2013 04:44 PM

94-95

you had Webber the year before I think but check it:

Eddie Jones, Juwan Howard, Glenn Robinson, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Jalen Rose

end thread

ill nik-A 06-24-2013 04:58 PM

03

trap. 06-24-2013 05:33 PM

Mets is not me. He's a fat, jolly fellow and I'm a buff, badass, big nosed Soldier. Both from the city though. Mets is RM and some other sites, I'm Sethro's / UPN.

Melo can't lead a team himself to a championship, he just ain't that type of player

oats 06-24-2013 07:42 PM

he already did that at Syracuse. I think he has it in him. Knicks looking close to contention.

SpookyDeep 06-24-2013 07:47 PM

College is a lot different to NBA though homie ... Other then scoring 30 points what does he contribute to his team? He doesn't pass well, terrible defender and is an average rebounder at best...dude is just a scorer, nothing more...

That's why I think Paul George will be better than Carmelo Anthony next season

Philly 06-24-2013 09:26 PM

He's top 5 in player efficiency rating though...
And 7 rebounds a game for a small forward is good.

I agree with the defense and passing though

...still one of the most fun to watch

SpookyDeep 06-25-2013 04:22 AM

Carmelo is a beast but he doesn't have the leadership skills (on and off the court) to take his team to the finals...he needs another superstar on his team for that to happen

actually Jordan made the allstar team but not as a starter.. Vince Carter gave up his spot on the starting roster to Jordan in respect of His Airness..

please explain to me how 03 changed the game... I was just thinking bout this the other day.. Did they change it by having people who are athletic, can high fly but can't shoot worth a damn...
the whole finals they gave lebron and dwade 5 ft. worth of space to shoot and they were scared to pull...

now tell me in the 84 or 96 class.., Name 1 motherfucker from the 84 or 96 class that you would give 3 ft of space to shoot...?
i remember when you had to have the full package to make it to the league.. ur Chris Webbers, Charles Barkleys, Hakeem, Karl Malone, Bird, MAgic..
Shaq is just way too big.. he dnt have to shoot..
but now, if your a quick guard that dunk... u'll make it
russel westbrooks, john walls, derek rose(freakish game but can't shoot) list goes on..

but if i chose it would be the 96 class all around.. but 84 class had better Talent wise
