a brief moment of psychopathology

At the crib on lunch break.....seriously considered the emotional implications of microwavingg our cat.

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 01:43 PM

don't...i knew a kid in like middle school who did that...i dont recall what happened...but i assure u it was not good.

kid got thrown out of school later on for behavioral issues..dont know what amt'd of him...prolly prison or psych hospital

part of the triad u know...

ill nik-A 06-18-2013 01:45 PM

It causes balding

~RustyGunZ~ 06-18-2013 01:46 PM

cats do not have souls

there would be no consequence

namix 06-18-2013 01:47 PM

welcome back sir

I could imagine a case where the emotional implications of keeping your cat exceed that of microwaving it, which would make the action less psychopathic than it is logical.

I am more of a dog person though.

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 01:48 PM

yeah nik but it depends on time in...im sure sever dehydration comes pretty quick...n then cooked insides...

but long term implications to burst of direct microwave --> cancer 4 sure

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 01:50 PM

@VERITAS compromise with ur cognitive dissonance and just cut off its whiskers...thats pretty bad to do to a cat.

Philly 06-18-2013 01:55 PM

Remember when Strikta made cat shit cupcakes for his neighbor?
That was dope

~RustyGunZ~ 06-18-2013 01:59 PM

I'd imagine the cleanup would be a little jarring if you're not used to it

Dominate 06-18-2013 08:47 PM

I read about some art gallery exhibition a while ago that was just a couple of goldfish in a blender with the blender plugged in at the wall

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 09:03 PM

its funny at what ppl call 'art' and then what people call the 'absurd'

a while back there was a showcase of like poopoo picasso's like dood srsly painted with his sht - it was an art showcase

then like 2 yrs ago there was 'the human body' exhibit that was like mumified human remains and embalmbed ppl n organs in alabaster...and ppl were like boycotting it sayin it was dehumanizing, and all this other sht...i mean the remains were chineese ppl pretty much, that the gov't killed off for crimes against gov't and that were then later utilized for the exhibit (if i rmbr correctly)... i understand boycotting the origin of the bodies and stuff...but that was more 'art' to me then sht paintings which are way more 'absurd'...but the general public saw it as the reverse

the first i think was in nyc early 2000 or late 90's n the latter toured the country (maybe even the world - not sure) like somewhere between 2-4 yrs ago...i saw the latter at Los Olas, ft lauderdale...never saw the former, and happy i didn't.
@Chyeahhh!!! @YDK @trap @super pimp trillionaire @Split Eight @Sharp Nine @VERITAS @oats @Vulgar

Dominate 06-18-2013 09:08 PM

rofl I remember reading about the shit paintings... ppl really called that art hahahahahahahahahaha

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 09:12 PM

i kno right...i was bout to tag u lol...but srsly smh

oats 06-18-2013 09:33 PM

That's the nature of art I guess. I got in an argument with my ceramics teacher once cuz he took us to a museum and in it was a painting called three lines. Guess what it was. Three lines "painted" on a canvas. Sold for half a mil. He tried to tell me that I didn't understand the context of it, how the minamilist movement changed art etc etc, but still I call bullshit. Same with plenty of the shit I saw in the NYC MOMA. There were pieces of art where a guy just spray painted a mound on the floor. Shit like that annoys me

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 09:41 PM

right...sht like that take no skill and should NOT be rewarded with praise imo

Dominate 06-18-2013 09:44 PM

rofl how you gonna argue a case for 3 lines painted on a canvas

I would've just painted a whole canvas in green or something and then called him on his hypocrisy if he didn't give me an A

Dominate 06-18-2013 09:46 PM

And it's a huge insult to real artists, with actual skill, that make things with some actual substance to them...

Vulgar 06-18-2013 09:49 PM

The minimalist movement can be truly puzzling. I've found myself hating those exhibits at museums too.

veritas 06-18-2013 09:52 PM

here is an art exhibit...it is called "my dick...now swallow" that will be 100 g's please.

Dominate 06-18-2013 09:58 PM

You're better than that Veritas.

Minimalism in music is the same way. Theres some cool shit in that vein, but there's also a piece where 2 notes are held for 15 minutes.

At the same time I think music can function as a lot more than just art, and looking at it just as art isnt something I'm used to anymore, so when I see the really bullshit things I can get kinda critical

veritas 06-18-2013 10:16 PM

Ok dom....how 200 g's???

oats 06-18-2013 10:21 PM

I like a lot of minamilist writers - Raymond Carver is easily top three favorite fiction writers - but yeah the visual arts is lost on me, no matter how hard I try to understand/respect it. It's even more maddening when I hear those same snobs talk down on shit like rap and tattoo/graffiti artists as not having artistic merit. Just a joke.

uh-oh 06-18-2013 10:28 PM

yo veritas.

this is an A+thread. the start at least. i didnt read anything else.

i seriously think through doing weird shit all the time. or crazy violent shit. and then i play it out in my head like if i club this dude with this, adrenalines gonna flood. im gonna have to flee. map out everything in my head like a day dream while talking to someone like yea. no way? sure man. agreed.

or just driving into oncoming traffic.

its always the wtf look on the victims faces that wigs me out.

maybe psychopaths are just people that can't imagine what someones face looks like when you've WRONGED THEM. so they play it out in there head and nothing seems out of place so they do it.

i think i just revolutionized psychology for you yo

Sharp 06-18-2013 10:36 PM

Don't get me wrong, there's some great minimalist music too, but there's plenty of bullshit that abuses the principles behind it and is given artistic merit

But yeah how did we get here from microwaving cats?

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 10:38 PM

dom's op post on this page

veritas 06-18-2013 10:44 PM

What if mental illness is just a myth.

Someone name one thing that is actually unnatural?

Rawn M.D. 06-18-2013 10:57 PM

i think some aspects of mental illness are cop outs but some are legit

and unatural? well any chemical imbalance thats self induced and not congentital would be unnatural

veritas 06-18-2013 11:02 PM

I meant in terms of subsequent behavior
