Cause Nicki Minaj is still the same chick who did that verse on Monster. She's a decent rapper when she actually puts effort into it.

Then she drops "LOOKIN ASS NI99A" and it's pretty dope. Definitely a welcome return to form.

THEN she drops this joint with Soulja Boy called, "YASSS BISH" which is also kinda cool. I start thinking her next album might be worth giving a listen to..

THEN SHE DROPS THE FIRST OFFICIAL SINGLE FOR THE PINKPRINT. WOOO HOOOO GET EXCITED, YOU KNOW IF ITS THE FIRST SINGLE, IT'S GOTTA BE DOPE...

oddly enough i agree with sublime. i don't listen to nicki or check for her music but this is a radio friendly single with a catchy vibe to it. makes sense why this is what she decides to release first album-wise.

She's only ever impressed me on two tracks, her "Go Hard (Freestyle, whatever you want to call it), and more recently, her verse on "I Wanna Be With You". I just think the cadence and 'pivotal position' scheme is ill. I tell friends not that into the intri***ies of hiphop to check it out and I'm all hype when it comes on and they just stare at me.
