When it comes down to it about 20% is biased. This is not something you can get away with no matter where you go. That's how humans and the subconscious mind works. Even where people is neutral there's certain things that gets the readers attention or is stuck in the back of their mind; I believe nicknames etc. plays a huge role. Why? The first impression many gets of a post is the name of the writer, is it dope/original/familiar? If it isn't the subconscious sets the tone for how you start reading the piece even though it's not put to your attention. Also if you've read a lot from a certain writer you know what to look for in his/her verse, you get their ideas/concepts and punchlines easier cuz you're familiar with it and grasp their punches faster than you'd do to a completely new writer. It's just how our brains work. (Just some shit I've been thinking about lately and might be 100% false, just sayin' tho'.)
Beside of that; If people genuinly thinks a verse is better they vote for that around here. At least that's my experience and what I've seen from threads. They might bash on people, troll and talk shit, but for the most part the votes are fair. If someone great loses to someone it's rare that they say the person got robbed alltho' there's been instances of that as well. Instead; The great writer that lost to some wack fagg0t gets bashed on instead.
But yeah; you got a solid chance at getting far if you don't suck at text.
I can also confirm that the OM and the leagues is different in terms of posts than the misc section.
