Crew Section on here
 

I'm not sure if anyone is even interested in this idea, but from my past experience with text sites this idea had always brought on activity and drawn crowds.

I think it wouldn't be such a terrible idea to have a crew section made. A place for ppl to join existing crews or start new ones. Usually along with crews comes crew disses and that draws attention...its good for site activity the way i see it. I just don't know who to ask about this particular thing. Just trying to throw out some ideas to get this site crackin.

last time this happened we ended up with a pointless subforum in disc called "dawg eat dawg world I"

Hey, its not up to me. I'm just throwing out ideas. I know other sites have successful crew sections...its not impossible for it to work. I know one thing is for sure. This site needs something more. Ive already made attempts to get worthy additions to join aob...but tbh its gonna be hard to sell new people on a site that aint 100%. Something has to be done to attract people. If your all perfectly comfortable with aob staying like it is..then i guess i am being counter productive lol

This would be a good idea because tbh this site looks and feels dead....king Keith and I want to start nomads back up and it would be easier than pm or discussion...I don't see it as pointless

Make the crew section, put it at the bottom of the forum. Doesn't matter what the vets think.. its about bringing site activity. Its part of my plan.. just make it happen.

And yo.. people need to stop shooting down positive plans when they are trying to help the site. If you ain't part of the solution -your part of the problem, get involved or keep your peace

I mean at least from my personal view, i think its gonna take more than just geno, endsane , trap and i wanting it to be done. If there ends up being a whole one crew in it then yeah its going to look ridiculous. Which is the main reason i posted this to see if peeps was interested.
I mean discussion is most active thing here right now.

I suppose just creating it and playin it by ear wouldnt hurt anything. Worse thing that could happen is its deleted. Best case senario it actually is used and contributes some activity

I support a crew section, that's a good idea. crews bring competition, new concepts, and sometimes out of the whack newb crew masses arises a champion

Here's my thing, it only takes one crew to inspire other crews to form. So even if it only starts out as the nomads coming back... others will be provoked. I have ideas. I think its worth a try and really isn't gonna take a lot of effort to add the forum. The work will be done by the people such as I, kieth, natural and endsane, etc.

the best ive seen a crew section run was on UF where

there was 3 ranked sub forums and only 3 at one time.
the sub forum included:
- small gif for the title of the crew
- password protected
- self moderated

then in another forum there was a threads for other crews and they had to earn a sticky thread by having a certain amount of members and show they are active with a collab or whatever you want.

when you were a proven crew(had a stickied thread) you could battle one of the crews that had a forum for their forum. #1 had to accept a call out from 2-3 only and #2-3 had to accept battles from the stickied challengers etc. then there was grace periods if you battled recently you couldnt be challenged again.

you don't have to do this but it made things fun and gave a purpose for text crews... started beef/drama/disses/collabs etc

Your missing the point entirely. Once upon a time there were a couple on original netcees. One key thing, like em or not they bought activity..thats the point.
