• A roast review with highlights from recent ones

b-boys, mc's, dj's, graff artists, and beat boxing are the 5 elements of hip hop. it's rumored that martial arts is a hidden element, but yeah. how come you guys rarely incorporate that kind of shit in any sort of magazine or site ideas?


genuinely curious. if any of you love the art, you'll do more than battle each other, roast member pictures, and post random youtube vids of the aforementioned elements.

i mean, i can see that this site hosts text battles....but people here still do love music and hip hop and the fashion associated with both.


i didn't pitch the idea because i wanted to be featured, i post songs here enough to know i probably shouldn't post songs here at all. i just pitched the idea because text rap has rap in it. which means it came from the idea of hip hop and battling and shit. who knows what any one of us knows and can teach. this is a culture, sure....but a subculture of hip hop whether you wanna call it text rap or not.

B-boy: The closest we have is Robranda twerk videos, and I already said GIFs will be included.

MC: Writing should count here, but even if it doesn't, I'll include a video or two from Joel Venom and others who want in.

DJ: No one here does this. If someone wants to give me something of them scratching, sure, I'd include it.

Graffiti artist: See DJ.

Beat-boxer: See DJ.

The point of the magazine isn't to embody hip-hop. It's to embody Netcees.co. Netcees.co isn't about the whole of hip-hop. Loosely, it's a site for Internet rappers, most of whom specialize in text. I like that you post your songs here, but audio makes up maybe one-fiftieth of this site.
