Movies that make you cry

I know, realistically some of you are a bunch of soft pussies so name the movies that have made your heart cry...

Animated movies are welcome too.

Malachi 02-22-2013 11:50 PM

I cried to this one episode of prince bel air before lol

Masaii 02-23-2013 12:08 AM

how could i forget benjamin button. That depressed me.

and Gladiator is also sad

dont act like you aint shed a tear in gladiator

Void 02-23-2013 12:37 AM

Shutter Island, the scene with the kids and the lake. Shit was just so jarring and unexpected. Nice build, too.

Gladiator got me. Seven Pounds. The Notebook. American Beauty. My Girl. Bridge to Terabithia. Into The Wild. Crash, where the girl runs out with her dad's invisible cloak, OMG. I Am Legend, when the dog dies, every little thing will not be alright. Pay It Forward. Braveheart. John Q. The Patriot. Blue Valentine. A Beautiful Mind.

Saddest movie ever, by a good margin, would be The Road. It's on Netflix instant watch.

Dominate 02-23-2013 01:08 AM

I honestly never cried at a sad movie. You guys are pussies.

... However my eyes sometimes leak a tiny little bit when I see like a ridiculously cute puppy or something...

Masaii 02-23-2013 01:19 AM

the majestic got me (jim carey) when the old man dies and he still tells him he is his son

and saving pirvate ryan got a tear

zygote 02-23-2013 01:20 AM

Schindler's list & the movie with character "Kunta Kinte" - can't recall the title of it.

Objective 02-23-2013 04:47 AM

E.T., Mississippi Burning and Schindlers list that I can recall. I was a kid when I watched those movies tho'. The Road and Grave of the Fireflies made me feel like a bitch but I didn't cry tho', I swear I didn't shed a tear! Was close tho', was close.

Also, I'm happy I've seen most of the movies you people talk about because you guys be spilling them spoilers all over.

Flow 02-23-2013 06:03 AM

Waynes world where you think he's lost garth but then...he hasn't.

Nah seriously though I don't cry. It's like a condition. Didn't shed a tear when my son was born. But that pursuit of happiness, that shit is so sad, gets me well angry

veritas 02-23-2013 06:04 AM

i got teary eyed in hotel for dogs.

Void 02-23-2013 10:04 AM

Ashamed to cry? lol What a bunch of vaginas.

Badweather 02-23-2013 10:09 AM

The very beginning of "Love Actually," almost made me cry. You know, the scenes of all the families and couples hugging each other at airports? Right?

Void 02-23-2013 10:34 AM

That part of As Good As It Gets, where Nicholson sends the doctor over to Helen Hunt's house to take care of her sick kid.

Scott Akers 02-23-2013 10:46 AM

there was one movie that got to me awhile back but forget the name of it, no it wasn't the 40 yr old virgin.

it was on lifetime and it was about a girl that was drunk and killed her friend, and she couldn't remember if she was the one behind the wheel then at the end of the movie she realized it was.

Masaii 02-23-2013 11:41 AM

id also like to add The Last Samurai, I cried when the credits rolled saying thank god its finally over.

Gladiator is the shit. Its soundtrack is hot, but yes, when he dies at the end and is reunited with his wife and kid got me.

Schindler's List was real sad, like pretty much throughout the movie. But especially the end, where the real victims of the holocaust had visited his grave.

Mississippi Burning and American History X got me too, I watched them when I was like 18-ish and I still remember them vividly.

The pursuit of happiness.
Lilo & Stitch - when the older sister sings that Hawaiian song to her little sister.
Amergeddon (can't spell) - we all know which part.
Ghost's of Mississippi.
The Power of One - not sure if any of you even know that movie, but I recommend it.
Up - come on, how can you not cry to this.
The Notebook - only in the end.
A walk to remember.

PancakeBrah 02-23-2013 11:54 PM

'The Road' by Cormac McCarthy is the strongest book, emotionally, I've ever read. Movie was pretty good but the book is a blowjob of emotion.

Immaculate 02-24-2013 12:01 AM

I find it quite interesting that book versions of movies outshine the actual movie.

i just finished it about a month back and i do not agree with this statement. but it is a dope ass book. and it made me feel things. haven't seen the movie so idk about that.

i think i have read stephen king novels that had more emotional impact than the road.

final book in the series of the dark tower fucked me up. but I've never cried reading a book wtf.

as for movies, 7 pounds was heavy. maybe rain man too cause i related to it. i am sam is another.
