top battlers, top topicalists. Irrespective of which you prefer, you probably started out as a battler 10 yrs ago. top battlers are clever but their art is narrow. They think they are greater than they are. I meet people everyday just as creative as top tier battlers who could reproduce NC style rap lines with ease. This is not the case with topicals. Writing topicals is more complex and activates more neural cells. It is the worthier art and funnily enough it's always the far from top tier who make threads like this

Straight up, 89% of battle heads can't do topicals or decent open Mic/song pieces... But, 98% of topical heads can't do battles. It's like professional football and soccer, footballers can't keep up with the stamina of soccer players, but soccer players would get smashed by footballers if they were on their smaller field... We all got our specialities and its pretty fucking stupid to have animosity for someone who just likes to play in a sandlot for fun
