Netcees Leadership Team Update - October

My primary goal since purchasing the site a week and a half ago has been to collaborate with the current leadership team to get a sense for who is on-board to make some productive changes in the near-term to improve the boarding experience today, and execute on some novel ideas to build upon this thing we do called 'text'. There are some AMAZING writers in this space. The 'genre' itself, of "Creative & Competitive Writing", does not get the publicity it should. We will be expanding our reach over time. We will look to make this a rewarding, even financially rewarding in many cases, experience for all as we move into 2014. One of my personal goals is to 'engage' with the community a bit more to give the team a better sense of where we are, and where we're going. Below is a summary of the 'foundational' things we've done - and a brief look into some of the more tactical things to come. Right now - it has been ALL about setting the stage, for a self-sustaining leadership system, we will be building upon that foundation to introduce the "real cool shit" from there! - - +- -+- -+-+- +-+-+-+- -+-+-+-+ -+-+- -+- -+ - - Completed: 10.13 1.0 Mission Statement"To provide and facilitate a productive community of writers, for writers." Short and sweet. - - +- -+- -+-+- +-+-+-+- -+-+-+-+ -+-+- -+- -+ - - Completed: 10.13 2.0 The Leadership Agreement:I'm not in the business of over-policing shit - quite the opposite - I just want to make sure the right leaders are in place to share a consistent message and can be trusted to execute in accordance to our vision. The Action Requested PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD to acknowledge whether you are still interested in continuing your leadership role; and in general, agree with the following high-level principles:

Areas of Ownership:Based on the combination of their interest and our needs, the leadership team is currently being assigned to the following areas of ownership, from which all of our advancements will come. Process: drives and defines the processes that run this board; collaborating with other areas where necessary. This area will touch all other areas in some capacity (e.g. HOF nomination process/execution; GLOBAL ‘voting rule’ expectations, etc.; inform the necessary permissions needed for the board to run efficiently/etc.)Activity: plans and runs ongoing and one-off activities (leagues, tourney’s, etc.); collaborates with other league/tourney owners to 'cross-sell' opportunities and continued growth/engagement.Community: manages those who manage the community (OM Mods, BA Mods, etc.) – focused on building the “culture” within, ensuring Mods are doing their job, and will be solicited for “promotion” questions of ModsTech: implementation of the netcees roadmap; analytics/measurement; defining our success and reporting upon growth; key contribute to offsite expansion as we go and grow. |

If you are up for getting down with this, start thinking about where and how you’d like to contribute… and Stay Tuned! :) The overarching roadmap could be surmised as: “PEOPLE --=> PROCESS --=> PRODUCT”.We are working on the people, who will define the process, and improve the product. Below are the high-level / high priority items for us to address to set the stage to get shit running real fluid-like.
