I've been a vBulletin forum member long enough to know it does that when you quote a message posted by another user, or in this case, the administrator. An automated message would surely imply that it was so rather try to mislead the recipitent?

I have genuinely received this private message in my inbox today, from the forum user God of War, and I can provide screenshots if more evidence is needed to continue my membership application.

From my time at various vBulletin forums, I believe what namesake had done is right clicked and selected "Copy shortcut" to his Private Message box, which I have also proceeded to do. This should prove me correct also:
