Just saw that Geno and Tyson posted a topical battle in the BA.....Thought adding a Topical Title to the BA would be a nice change. Would enough of you throw up battles in there and compete for the title?

Lol My bad @Nice I was trying to think of everyone...Mind aint what i used to be...Anyways its good to see interest in this subject....If you guys get a couple topical battles going in the BA and it works out good than I can hold a Champ Match in 3 weeks with the rest of them...That way before after during and inbetween Topical Leagues you guys have somewhere to compete.

Just so I get firm understanding of how topical battles work, do we battle someone using the topic against the opponent or do we battle not dissing the opponent, but trying to be as creative with the topic like a free drop/poem type of shit? Still new to all of this so just learning.

What about topcial's as well but more lateral thinking/themes. For example, write about anything you want but do not use the letter E. Or write about a single debate topic (human cloning or gun laws etc) and the two competitors have to before hand choose either 'for' or 'against'. I enjoy topicals but not when every week is some topic "The way forward is sometimes the way backwards in the dark shadows."

I like the debate idea, if it's done right.

Although it might be boring to write about, more like an essay than a verse.

If you're not sucked into the topic, it makes it hard to write for it.

So forcing people to take sides on an issue that they may not even have an interest in seems... Boring, the final product, I mean. It would make sense if they both had views on the topic, so I can see it being used at times, but only if both participants have a solid opinion.
