what is the holdup on the matches? we already have the matches, why aren't they up yet? is it the topics? if so, do an open topic week. put a whole bunch of pictures/quotes/theme and just let competitors choose.

I'd like to run an idea past everyone and get their input.

I think the GWL needs a definitive rules thread to avoid any confusion in the future and make sure things stay active in future weeks. Basically stuff like:

-Check ins must be done 48 hours after new battles go up.

-Verses must be posted 4 days after threads go up.

-An extension of 24 hours can be granted if both competitors agree.

-All competitors must vote on all completed battles if possible.

-First to 5 votes wins.

-If a battle goes to 3-0 it's ruled as a KO.

-If voting is tied at 4-4, a winner is declared by 2 clear votes. i.e. 6-4, 7-5 (I admit this one might not be possible)

@Johnny 6 feet rules thread needs penalties attached to each rule. What happens if someone doesn't check in within 48 hours? Minus one vote? Or a DQ? What happens if someone doesn't vote on all battles... minus one vote next week or they have to sit out?

Can't really have rules if no one isn't scared to break them... it will be business as usual if no penalties are attached and, more importantly, enforced.

Also you should add Line Limit Extensions into that thread. If both agree on it they can go longer than the 30 or 50 lines... Speaking of which, @Adverse I need 100 lines max lol, if you're up for it... I'm at 108 lines currently lol

I'm open to suggestions as to what the penalties should be. I just put up rules at Inno's ok based on stuff I'd seen before in topical leagues. It should be stuff people find fair so what I'm thinking is...

Not posting in time- DQ

Not voting on battles - Minus 1 vote for every battle missed (unless battles are already closed via a KO or something)

Going over line limit without agreement from opponent - Minus 1 vote

Going stupidly over the line limit without agreement from opponent - DQ

It's been ages since I was modding. If people have input let's hear it.

Well I like it cuz I vote on everything anyway lol. But realistically I'd say 3 votes minimum by everybody is expected or a minus 1 vote penalty will be deducted from your next week's battle. Anything more than a 1 vote deduction and guys won't even bother to write and just no show

3 vote min seems fair. Next week penalty gives extra incentive to keep this league active.
