ALBUM OF THE YEAR?

It’s been a dope year for hip hop. A lot of outstanding projects dropped in 2018. I’ve never had so many new albums to bump to lol

But you what’s your album of the year?

For me, I’m leaning towards VICTORY LAP by NIPSEY HUSSLE. Dudes come a long way from hussle in the house.

What’s your choice for 2018....discuss

For Battling 12-17-2018 03:07 PM

Ryno says the earls sweatshirt album.

I say the new Tory Lanez

Why you speaking for others when you don't have a full mouth to speak for yourself...

Good choice. I don’t listen to entire albums so I can’t comment however I do want to say Nipsey is getting too old to be acting like a violent criminal.

I fail to see how this doesn’t further enforce my pick’s validity

John Dillinger 12-18-2018 08:58 AM

Some Rap Songs

WRATH 12-19-2018 01:36 PM

Evil Genius way up there. The history books will remember the carters though.

WRATH 12-19-2018 01:37 PM

Meek went from negative all the way back to high positive off one album strong showing also

Orc 12-20-2018 04:20 PM

I probably liked Jay Rock - Redemption the most, Astroworld is a good choice because it catapulted Travis into true worldwide superstardom.

~RustyGunZ~ 12-20-2018 04:57 PM

Daytona obv

WRATH 12-21-2018 12:53 AM

Jay rock underground album of the year

I say underground as in less then high profile mainstream

Daytona was flex of the year for a 7 track that included the demise of drake in its rollout

WRATH 12-21-2018 12:55 AM

Travis is great value kanye but he has time and money on his side to be truly great. Astroworld was solid.

WRATH 12-21-2018 01:45 AM

21 Savage with the late entry

Exis 12-21-2018 01:56 AM

I haven't copped Astroworld yet, if you recommend it I'll peep it fam...& word @dull boy, Kamikaze is flames...my bad for not seein' you post that up earlier, have a lot of dick faces to respond to.

I agree with this. I do think Daytona is mad overrated though. Haven’t replayed it in a long time. Di Caprio 2 is a solid entry too.

Same. Daytona was on the playlist the week it came out. Hasn't been since.

New Meek shit is on heavy rotation, tho.

Yeah JID is low key killing it, surprisingly no one is talking about him. That DiCaprio 2 is so dope

BodySnatcher 12-21-2018 09:24 AM

Meek...Philly stay winning. Mad others tho. Nipsey, J.Rock, Astroworld, KOD, ...oh yeah this is the Carter so hold on to your teenage daughter this is the Carter......

Witty 12-21-2018 07:58 PM

It's either Carter 5 or Dime Trap.

Kamikaze was great, I loved it. But it was a flashback to the old Eminem. In regards to music released in 2018 for 2018...for me it was one of those two.

Except Travis is a one trick pony.

And Kanye (as much as I disagree with him) is an artist.
