If god is truly an Omni-god (all powerful, all knowing, all god and loving, all just, all present),(1) how can prayer change reality? (2) How can god have a personal relationship with his creations? (3) can god sin?

dead man 12-04-2018 05:24 PM

Could god create a text tourney he himself could not champ?

Yes he could. He could also create a rock so heavy he could not lift. He is not bound to logical consistency. Thankfully for us, he esteems it highly.

Prayer is an act of faith. He rewards faith. Plus it is good to praise him. Prayer isn’t just about asking things for our self. Saying thank you is a good thing too.

If you have any children you know how one could have a personal relationship with their creation.

Not directly no. He is bound to his word. He will authorize sin to be done to accomplish his mission. He cannot lie. But will authorize a lie because righteousness trumps truth. This is a deep teaching.

You just equated humans and god in example 2

How can an all powerful being not do something? God should not be able to make a stone he can’t lift, because that would mean he isn’t a being of actuality and is partly potience. He either can’t do something, and so isn’t really Omni god, or has the potential to be less than god, meaning he can’t be god because god must be a being of actuality.

These sentences contradict each other

True, a better way to word it would be something like:

An Omni God should be able to do anything and everything, yet cannot make a stone he can’t lift because this is a logical contradiction.

Your that annoying white kid that hangs with the other annoying white kid named Lennox. God allowed you two wiggers to exist there's proof enough that god indeed exist.

Being omnipotent means being able to do the impossible. He could make a rock so heavy he could not lift it and then lift it because he is outside of logical word games/ thought excercises.

~RustyGunZ~ 12-04-2018 11:02 PM

Couldn't he make a derocker that could move the rock though?

This is illogical, flat out illogical. I think I need not demonstrate where you excercise blind faith and acceptance of the unexplainable.

veritas 12-04-2018 11:03 PM

God can do the logically impossible. He can lift the rock he can’t lift.

So basically, god’s being is illogical and unfalsifiable, and thus not evidenced, or even having potentiality for being evidenced, philosophically

To better understand how words are put together is what I was getting at

Clearly Google is teaching you the meaning of words. You just don't have the ability to use them in harmony and within the right context.

You could take SOC101 too and get all of the wild answers to your deep questions.

I've never understood how you can argue a point that has zero proof behind it, and so much against

I proved it philosophically DMS. I would vault it back to you and ask, how does omnipotence tie into being continually bound to logic? Is the latter a prerequisite for the former? ISNT the whole point of omnipotence being not bound to anything but what it chooses to be bound to?

This seems simple to me.

You make these threads to challenge me (which don't) as subcon subterfuge to wrestle with your own uncertainty.

Or maybe you just enjoy challenging me?

Destroyer 12-05-2018 08:20 AM

I didn’t make this to challenge you, actually, but I can’t not challenge something illogical, which god must be if he has any potential to be anything he isn’t(potentiality), because he must be Pure actuality to be the first mover.

Choosing to be logical and being bound to logic are different things.
Omnipotence does not require logic
Omnipotence can surpass logical constraints because it can surpass any constraints.

This is not as difficult as you are trying to make it.

veritas 12-05-2018 02:38 PM

If you didn’t make this thread to challenge me, then please change the title. Or else you would seem illogical.
