If you own Madden 13, don't buy Madden 25

Lame duck effort, no surprises there from my experience with the demo.

Looks like I'll return to NHL this year for my EA Sports purchase.

...the Nagger 08-27-2013 03:08 PM

I will buy it for the sole purposes of entering the tourney

Swerve 08-27-2013 03:12 PM

LMAO @ those hand picked examples.

AI can't always be perfect, but I can say with confidence that I don't experience these problems as much as this guy is claiming.

And precision modifier isn't a gimmick? It's EA getting closer to achieving NFL like action. Hard cuts, large jukes, quick spins, etc.

Bad review. Dislike.

He even addressed the fanboy "hand picked" argument if you bothered to read the article.

Check the early reviews on OS if you don't believe the fucking OWNER and EIC of Sports on Kotaku.

And yes precision modifier is a gimmick. It will be gone within 2 years. Bet.

Fart 08-27-2013 03:25 PM

Lol he sounds like he doesn't know what the modifier does exactly. So didn't bother to read the rest. If they just polish out the two major glitches from the demo it is easily better than 13.

KwaL!ty 08-27-2013 03:31 PM

the games dope as fuck, probably just one of the kids w/ out the user talent to be good.

PancakeBrah 08-27-2013 03:38 PM

Weak article. Who's the audience? Why even review madden's lol.

Brb missing the zeitgeist

Is this better? From the authority on anything Madden related.

...the Nagger 08-27-2013 03:40 PM

yea if you don't know how to user, you will think madden sucks straight up

I be usin the cards and doin wonders wit larry fitz, while dudes be complainin tryna figure out a good zone

PancakeBrah 08-27-2013 03:41 PM

Every year reviewers say it sucks
Every year no one gives two fifths of a fuck

This is the wrong crusade to lead

go play some more blitz then

...the Nagger 08-27-2013 03:45 PM

diode, nobody cares bro :(

KwaL!ty 08-27-2013 03:46 PM

its all about speed and height knowing when to blitz to play man or zone having the user talent to pic the ball off 5+ a game.

KwaL!ty 08-27-2013 03:49 PM

i speak to alot of EA game changers one is on XBOX LIVE TheOfficialMole and like he says this year it will seperate the bums from the USERS, from the people who played D or the people who relied on cpu assistance.

...the Nagger 08-27-2013 03:53 PM

you shoulda just talked to me I coulda told you that... I'm a Munster yo

Fart 08-27-2013 03:58 PM

lol word I like that now(ncaa 14/madden25) you have to be good at defense play. I lose if someone online can play D better cuz i rely mostly on cpu, and just try to rush the passer.
They are eliminating a LOT of cheap shit online players use. That's why most of the reviews are bad...online cheezers got da nerfs

I don't get that insult? I like madden? Haven't played blitz in years?

You're trying entirely too hard

Swerve 08-27-2013 04:14 PM

I used to like Blitz too though, lol.

Haven't played it since like 2000, but blitz used to be the shit when you clothesline a mufucka.

Strikta 08-27-2013 04:24 PM

I will always get the new Madden.. maybe not when it comes out exactly.. but every year I have to have it. I don't care what reviews say. Same goes w/ 2K.

Frank Metts 08-27-2013 05:02 PM

Madden produced their best titles when 2k still had licensing with the nfl

No comp = lazy efforts

I bet any amount of money the xbox one and ps4 versions are beyond trash... I remembered when 360 came out and madden had already dropped for the inferior systems ... what a waste of fucking money

God Of War 08-27-2013 05:58 PM

there must be alot of people who "dont know how to play" then because ive read maybe 30 reviews all saying the exact same thing.. and claiming this game is ass

God Of War 08-27-2013 06:04 PM

I love that EA Sports is finally prioritizing the efforts to make Madden NFL look like real football, but it comes up short in those important spots. Other sports games are lightyears ahead of Madden 25 here, and while it seems like a superfluous thing, it makes a big difference

thats from ign, what ign says GOES

uh-oh 08-27-2013 06:07 PM

every year every critic says its terrible

every year i play it and love it for a couple months until i get burned out on it.

im a cheap bastard tho and dont have xbox live. so i got madden 13 with the OLD rosters. think lee evans is still on the ravens squad

my only beef with madden 13 was when i start a career it reset the rosters. i spent a whole day updating every roster, trading players and creating guys who werent in the game.

started a career and nothing.

so word i pretty much only buy new maddens for the roster lol

uh-oh 08-27-2013 06:09 PM

also diode sucks at madden

i was thrashing him when i used a free trial of xbox live and he quit

he will claim he didnt, and that his internet cut out.

we all know the truth

Fart 08-27-2013 06:09 PM

The engine in 25 alone makes it better than 13. it's still not perfect, but 13's rushing attack was garrrrrrrrbage
and I can tell you right now the reviews are bad because A. They haven't liked Madden in a few years or B. They don't play it online.
Like I said most of the changes are for online play

LOL they fixed that shortly after, where you can chose what roster to use before starting career. Unless it's an online career

Frank Metts 08-27-2013 07:14 PM

But its not real football its a video game

That's the beauty of it ... who wants to play a season that's super realistic ... I like realism but realistic is for sundays

dull boy 08-27-2013 07:20 PM

Yes. Video games make a mistake by trying to nail realism so perfectly. 98% of gamers couldn't handle realistic defenses or schemes. No gamers are playing MLB The Show at true game speed, because none of them are realistically hitting 98mph fastballs. Realism needs to blend with fun, and I think Madden especially misses that point some years. I haven't regularly played Madden since 2010, I don't think. Had been playing it religiously since '93. It got too easy, for one. Then adjusting sliders felt fixed. Got old.

Fart 08-27-2013 07:31 PM

Okay...but you as the user can make the game realistic or not, it always gives you that option. Always

See we can agree on somethings ...

Meth 08-27-2013 07:35 PM

It's not a mistake to try and hit realism when that's what people want.

That's like saying it'd be a mistake to put onions on a dudes burer if that's what he asked for.

dull boy 08-27-2013 07:38 PM

People don't know what they want. They think they do, but they don't. Most people in marketing know this. Certain aspects of the game need to be tweaked, but people like language like, 'The most realistic...' because it sounds like something you'd want.

uh-oh 08-27-2013 09:20 PM

i want the most realistic football game

madden is definately not that.

its the only football game.
