Lupe was never a slouch with lyrics. He even got a song where he raps in Spanish, that DOESN'T sound terrible. He went all in all the way through. Much better playability.

As far as being a pure emcee, technical wizard and elite lyricist goes I don't see how anyone into those particular components of the craft could hate on Lupe. There's literally only a handful of "known" rappers that can realistically compete with his skills.

I just listen to it whenever the shuffle god decides to play a track from it. Drogas was a song in Spanish that didnt sound bad for an American. Mural Jr. was a good song, but I deleted it for it being too grandiose. A couple others I heard sounded good too.

Yeah, so far some of it's hit or miss. A lot of experimental beats that lack musicality and songs that are too long. But then there are some gems on it as well.
